I was using Openpli 4 image years ago. Today I decided to un-dust my receiver and install a new release and see what's going on. After flashing with USB drive and connecting to my PC monitor with Hdmi, i now see the OpenPli Release page but nothing more. The light in the panel is green. Whatever I press in panel does not show anything.

Have I done something wrong, do I need to wait more, or just reboot. So I see somthing like below

The Xtrend ET5000 has limited hardware capabilities (memory). PLi 9 may be too much for this model.

PLi 8.3 is the better choice.

Yeah, well, I saw it was supported so I went for it. Does this box has a recovery mode, pressing something form the panel or something else to force it to install another firmware?

Just the usual procedure for flashing. When the yellow LED is on, press the UP button on the frontpanel. It takes a few minutes...

I was able to flash it again with an older image. This time I even saw the menu when you select the language after booting, but it froze again right after. Now sometimes it starts sometimes it doesn't when you unplug it. I'm throwing it into the trash.

I had an ET5000 a few years ago with similar problems. After Power On it was operating normally for about 2-3 minutes Then the TV image got artefacts and the box eventually froze.
