Hello,

With my internet subscription I have access to many IPTV TV channels (*). When I bought my PVR in 2018, the only solution I found to watch these channels was to convert the m3u provided by my ISP into a E2 bouquet file (I think I used E-Channelizer by the time, not sure). It pretty much works.

The downsides are
1) I have to redo the whole process every time my ISP changes his playlist.
2) It does not support EPG.

I've done some research and spent some hours exploring some solutions but could not find anything convenient.

Is there now a convenient way to import an m3u playlist and integrate the IPTV streams as if they were regular DVB channels ?

Thx.

(*) I leave in France and my ISP is FREE.

Here is what the m3u looks like :

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:0,2 - France 2 (auto)
rtsp://mafreebox.freebox.fr/fbxtv_pub/stream?namespace=1&service=201
#EXTINF:0,2 - France 2 (HD)
rtsp://mafreebox.freebox.fr/fbxtv_pub/stream?namespace=1&service=201&flavour=hd
#EXTINF:0,2 - France 2 (standard)
rtsp://mafreebox.freebox.fr/fbxtv_pub/stream?namespace=1&service=201&flavour=sd
...

Note rtsp protocol is supported by exteplayer3 only.

So it is better if there are http links instead.

Thanks for your answers.

To be more specific, what I'm looking for is an E2 plugin or a script that could periodically download the playlist from my ISP, convert it into a bouquet, and then add it to the PVR bouquet list (see screenshot)

Tell me if I'm wrong but none of the suggestions match this request, right ?

m3uiptv plugin can do all that except redownload it on schedule. So you have to periodically trigger redownload manually.

m3uiptv

->

Nice plugin... but it put itself somehow on the main menu... can this be made somehow configurable?

Looks like kind of the first plugin that fully 'merges stealthily' with the existing environment.

Ah ok, I got confused because the plugin is not in the PLI 8.3 feed and google doesn't help much.

I found one of your posts on linuxsat-support where you say it's supported by OpenPLi 9.1.
Does it mean it's in the feed or do we still need to install it from command line ?

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately my ISP does not provide http links.
Yet the viewing works, but not the recording.

You mean the VOD entry in main menu? If that is what you mean you can turn that off from Menu -> Setup -> IPTV -> Settings -> Show Video on demand menu entry -> off

Yes it is in the openpli 9.1 feed. However please note that there it is on its state from when the image was build first time. So it is not very actual.

Actual version is in OpenPLi develop.

Yes then you are stuck to exteplayer3 where recording doesnt work.

Maybe consider to add this (configurable and default) on the 'blue' context menu at the infobar instead

There you can not have submenues. So the Movies and TVshows have to be as 2 entries in extensions menu (blue button)

Then it should work if you set up "no vod" option to off. And define xtream codes provider.
