Dont work on sf8008. Overscan problems. Image size cant change.

Drivers too old, Octagon has been asked repeatedly to address this, but sofar no response. OE-A images have the same outdated drivers, so they will bump into this as well, some time in the future.
 
The workaround for the moment is to download http://downloads.ope...ko-20240306.zip, extract the files "hi-dvb.ko", "hi_pmoc.ko" and "vtunerc.ko", copy these to /lib/modules/4.4.35/extra/ on the box, and reboot.

No, that is an ATV specific feature, that we don't support.

And who knows, we know the file really 'older', or just renamed it.
I currently doubt that Octagon solves the problem itself.
If we can solve it (and we can) then we should simply place the file there that works.

Everything else only leads to more work and trouble.
Rename the file and put it there as source.

No, it seems the developers is playing all OEM distributors against each other, and making money three times (or maybe more) from the same change, given the fact the developer (github account) for Octagon, Gigablue and Octagon is the same person, yet the source of their drivers seems to be different.

We don't know that, we only know that it addresses this specific issue, we don't know (given the difference between the drivers of the three boxes) if it introduces new issues.

 

Given the fact Octagon claims to provide support, the ball is in their court.

Bessere Übersicht, Plugins lassen sich schön sortieren

 

Es gibt viele Images die das haben, z.B.: Alle OpenATV, Openpli GCC-14.2, Egami 10.6, Hyperion X.1, OpenSPA 8.4

You have been able to sort plugins in OpenPLi for many years.

 

We don't see the point of replacing a vertical list with useful plugin names and descriptions with a tiled view where you need to guess what each tile means...

 

I have 5 plugins installed here that all have the generic "plugin" icon, you need name and description to know what is what.

Hello everyone, and thank you for your firmware.

I'm currently testing the latest version of OpenPLI ScarthGap on my Octagon 8008, and I must say I'm surprised at how quickly it's improved compared to the first version released. The image works well and is already very well-developed. Everything I installed works.
