Flashing over exsisting image

Hi all
Was thinking of installing (flashing) the newest pli image to my cable dreambox 500c.
Is there a certain process that should be followed to do this???I currently have a dk1.1 image installed and certain things that I need to get working arent......anybody have any ideas

Here is the installation procedure for a DM500: http://www.pli-image...ka=DM500install
Prefer the "root.cramfs" method. As the image may be quite different a "flash erase" or "restore factory settings" may be needed (I don't know which name dk1.1 uses).
