The xmltv plugin has been split up into two parts, one part "xmltv" with the code, and the new "xmltv-rytec" which contains the sources and channels files. When you perform an online upgrade, the "xmltv" plugin is updated and the new "xmltv-rytec" is added.
What I suspect happens on some systems (I wasn't able to reproduce it with my boxes) is the following:
- install new xmltv
- install xmltv-rytec
- remove old xmltv files
Then you end up with no sources at all.
The fix is to simply remove both plugins and re-install them (using the plugin menu).
