Hello people
First of all I want to thank the team for the wonderful and great job they do.
well; I have some questions, if someone could answer me it'd be great
I have an ITGATE BOX TGS 220 it runs enigma 1 software, just like a dreambox, my question is, can I compile or make an open pli image for it, with it's original cdk from itgate, and adding the patched enigma from pli? in another words, is it possible to keep the drivers for itgate, use the open pli enigma .?
regards

Yes, that should be possible I suggest. However, we never tried it as we don't have an ITGATE box.
It will be try and error until all works.
Many answers to your question can be found in our wiki: http://openpli.org/wiki

I'm not an expert on OpenPli, but there are possibilities on running Pli images on ItGate Boxes. Check dsteam.cwispy.com and look in the
"Unofficial ITGATE images from DREAMBOX" section. I've been able to run Pli Jade3 (image for ITGat box) for months now with only minor glitches. Maybe an good starting point for further development.

regards

@ mediaguard, I as well would like to do the same, I have a tgs-200 and a tgm220, and also a tgs-110.

The current problem that I am running into as I am unable to track down a source for the svn or cvs to build the itgate CDK, all sites that used to have it are gone, or currently down. If you know a a site that I can get it from.... I do have an old one from 2008, but I assume a lot as changed since then. I also have a lot of code for the itgate as well, some of it is well, quite old......

I can certainly help with this, and would love to see pli running on my itgates, just like my dreams! I did try another dreambox image from DS on the itgate, and it worked 100%, except no epg was working, not a big deal, and can easily be fixed. Let me know where you're headed as I want to get this working too, as I may have some stuff here that can really help.

thanks

jb

we cannot patch images for boxes that we dont own ourselves...

our sources are publicly available inder GPL, so other developer can use them to programm and send us the pathes back

on the Glassfibre 1GB DVB-C...

Hello there!
Well, if someone want to use dags/technomate cvs, that isn't problem as I have latest sources.
In other hand (sure if You agree) I can patch latest cvs from dags and send diff's to someone or attach somewhere. I also can talk with guys from tm/dags and ask if They can send an box to someone from team.
Cannot promise, but can ask.

hello guys
sorry for being late to answer, as I was abroad.
well, for the sources, yes I ran into the same problem, and actually I was trying to use fergy's sources on his web, but I had problems compiling the code, I've tried the ds team ones, but I had issues with the plimgr, so that's why I don't want them, well, I would like to ask the people interested with the idea to join me and we shall try to make something up and running.
hope to hear from you soon guys.

What were your problems with plimgr? At first it didnt run at strartup for me, but i found out that plimgr works just fine on the ds team images. I just had to start it manually through telnet. Later I added it to the startup script and now it's running fine at boot.

The only problem that still remains on my TM9101 is that I have a black screen after reboot but sound is playing. I resolve this by switching to a radio channel and then back to TV and everything is ok again.

Hi.
I know it is a long time since anyone wrote about it. I remember I made an image file for tgs100 several years ago, I got the cvs from itgateusers, but now I don¨t know where I kept it.
If someone wants to share this cvs or newer I could try ti re-study all this staff again.
Thank you.
Greetings.
