hi

i have a vu+ and your epg is brill. however ITV HD on 28 east has gone to 24 hour programming but still comes up as closed on your epg. it has same programs as itv 1 but in hd and so wish to set up tiimers for programs but cant. is there any way i can change settings to have itv hd read as itv 1 listing? cheers

also any way to get 7 day epg like satmate?

Am using a dm800, but having same problems as chris is...

Currently using the satmate listings, as I prefer to have a full 7-day epg, but, I prefer to use the rytec info, as prefer the details, and it has the details for most programmes also (whereas the satmate seems to be missing quite a few for some reason).

So, wondered if would be possible to update to get the full 7-days? Or is it just the case that your source doesn't have the full 7-days (Would doubt this, but a confirmation would be nice).

Also, using the dream-elite blackhole image, so dunno whether that's the problem, but would guess that it's the premade epg files that don't have the full 7-days, and so it's just these that need updating...

OK, have had a look through, and here are the sid's for ITV HD, and there is also ITV1 Central E that isn't included in the EPG:

ITV HD - 1:0:1:290e:90b:3b:11a0000:0:0:0:
ITV1 Central E - 1:0:1:1d1b:7de:2:11a0000:0:0:0: <------ This used to be 1:0:1:271b:801:2:11a0000:0:0:0:

Would be great if these could both be added to the epg, and also to get them for 7 days rather than 5...

I have set the number of days of epg to be downloaded to 7 for the main UK channels. (BBC1,2,3,4 - ITV1,2,3,4 and sky1,2,3 plus the movie channels)

This should have effect from the download tomorrow morning.

I have added those channel ID's to my files and have updated them, normaly from tomorrow they will be included into the EPG data.

Normally, (if you have the latest rytec.source.xml) you have to do nothing.

normaly if you use the latest rytec.sources.xml in /etc/epgimport you shouldn't need rytec.channels.xml file there anymore because it looks for the latest one at my mirrorsite.

hi rytec has there been a mix up with itv hd again as since i updated source file to latest one it no longer recieves itv hd listings again

the sources file has nothing to do with the channelfile.
So I will have to take a closer look for this issue.

It seems that ITV1 is simulcasting all their programmes on the "red button" transponder - Unfortunately, most of the programmes are NOT in HD. To further confuse things, from this week they will be broadcasting a second ITV1 HD channel on a "normal" channel available to those with a Sky subscription. Just how much will actually be from an HD source remains to be seen. At the very least, I think ITV ought not to use the "HD" logo on programmes that were not made in SD.

I notice that the Rytec ITV1-HD listing is now a duplicate of ITV1 London and is thus not the correct listing for true "HD" programmes. Personally, I find this annoying and would rather have the genuine listing for ITV1 HD so I know what programes are genuine HD programmes rather than SD programmes being broadcast on an HD channel.

that is because that is now the true itv hd schedule as it will be when it launchs in early april officially and is the same epg listing as sky/ virgin / satmate etc have and will have for this channel. all of the programs are upscaled in comparison to the itv sd channel and there is a notable increase in picture quality and so this listing is essential for those who wish to record their fav programs in upscaled hd (eg corrie for the missus!) alongside the native hd programs of which is becoming increasing in numbers in next few months eg world cup there are websites to distinguish between the native hd programming and the upscaled ones for those who are interested but the naked eye should be able to also show this. so please rytec leave the epg as is now for the true schedule of ITV HD

Well perhaps the rytec file should add an "HD" marker to programmes that are actually in the Freesat ITV1 HD list just as they do with adding the year of a film?

Sorry, we cannot add this "HD" marker. we grab the epg from other sites where we can find the programmings so we should ask the sources (ITV broadcast) to add this marker.

i am still having probs with ITV hd not showing up epg. i am using the new itv hd 24 hr transponder which takes over from men and motors on 28.2 east.
freq:10832
POL: H
22000
FEC: 5/6

i do not know how to write this in channel id form for you but this is the channel i have and can not get itv hd epg at all from rytec source. if i use cross epg or satmate it auto fills the epg no problem but i prefer the rytec with the image im on and it does not work

if you could fix it it would be great as its a channel i use a LOT!

also sky movies action and adventure hd and sky movies action and adventure sd is not working either.
also MGM hd is not working.
would really appreciate if it could be fixed

If you have a dreambox or Vu+duo zap to the channel, go into menu on your box then information and then streaminfo.
Here you will see a reference code. This code I would like to know.
If you do not have such a box try to ask a friend who has or maybe somebody else could help here.

I really do need to know these references from the missing channels before we can search further.
