The corrections I gave for the rytec sources and channels are now in the official download.

Forget thus these files.

Pls. update the Rytec sources with the update from the box.
Select the Rytec XMLTV sources to install.

Now these days you have to install both the XMLTV importer and the Rytec XMLTV Sources.

Hi Willy, I don't really understand what you're asking here? I'm downloading the EPG thru the box but my EPG will not work at all. Since I added to my box those files you uploaded I cannot get any EPG to work at all - rytec does not work, satmate does not work etc, even after I've removed the files from the box.

1. I've updated EPG Provider config list thru the box and then restarted enigma2
2. I've downloaded the Rytec-SKYUK EPG through the box - the epg appears to download to my CF card (attributes 644)
3. But there is no EPG. Nothing works.

Can you please advise what has gone wrong here and what I need to do to fix it? I have no idea and I cannot understand it. Am I missing a file or something? I do not understand either what you mean by "you have to install both the XMLTV importer and the Rytec XMLTV Sources" - how do I do this? Where exactly do I download these files from?

choose applications.

Select download.

Find Rytec xmltv sources and download this (and install)

Now do a new import!!!!!!!!

Hi Willy, this option does not exist on my image. I'm using Dreamelite Black Hole v1.0 on a DM7025+ - there is no option to choose anything called 'applications' through the menu button.

The only thing that I can see that exists is through Addons > Addons Download Manager > EPG provider config list UPDATE V3 (Dream Elite E2). Is this the same thing? If it is I have already tried installing this and doing a new import and it does not work - still no EPG.

I don't really understand how the EPG works so apologies for my lack of knowledge. I just cannot understand why nothing will work now and have no idea how to fix it.....

you use dream elite so you do not need t install the xmltv importer.
I generate the ready to use epg.dat files for this image.
did you install anything else since it's not working anymore?

Hi Rytec, no I did not install anything else.

What are the files (and their attributes) that are critical for the EPG to work? Maybe I can have a look at these or replace them?

The files where doglover was talking about are the files used by the xmltv importer, in your case it's a routine which is build in dream elite image. They only download my ready to use epg.dat file and then it is pushed into the epg of the box.
With the xmltv importer which you can use with OpenPli image for example, it's the plugin which downloads the xmltv file and convert it into ready to use epg and pushes it into the epg of the box. This procedure takes longer but works fine.
I think you better start with a fresh install of the image and then it should work or maybe try first another provider to download such as NL/BE and see if it works.

Hi Rytec,
I have painstakingly completely re-flashed my box from scratch again. The Rytec EPG still does not work. I downloaded Satmate's EPG and Satmate works fine (apart from a very corrupted EPG, which is why I don't use it). So the problem seems to be somewhere with Rytec.

I have noticed a few things
1. The Rytec EPG downloads almost instantly - this doesn't seem right, it should take maybe 30 seconds at least?
2. After doing my automatic scan after re-flash, I noticed that all of my channel service references that were previously 11A0000 have now changed to 11C0000 (it is the same on a neighbours box - they changed last Tuesday according to him) - Is this why the EPG no longer works?
3. Previously, in Willy's XML file I noticed that he has lower case letters instead of capital letters in a lot of the channel service references that EPG was not working for at the time - are the service references case sensitive?

The same here with Dream Elite 1.2.4 (OE 1.6). Sky UK doesn't work anymore.
In the Oozoon Image (also OE 1.6) the whole Plugin stopped working.
It is downloading all the events, but once it is finished no epg can be seen.

I am sure this is a problem at our end. We will look into it.
