Diseq Settings

I am a bit confused with the satellite configuration, hope someone can help me out here.
I have two dishes, one pointed to Eurobird 1, other pointed to 13e and now I want to get 9e. So I bought monoblock and put it on 13e dish. 13e works fine, but 9e channels wont get scanned? I manually entered PID's for a channel to test and see if the signal is ok for 9e and the SNR rate is 55% AGC is 91% and BER is 0%. I don't know what those codes stand for. But looking at the above signals am I getting 9e signals? If I am then then why are not the services being downloaded. When I try to do a manual scan the result says 1 transponders scanned with 0 services. Cross checked transponders values and they all are OK.
If I am getting the 9e signals right then is it something to do with the satellite configuration settings? At the moment I have a LNB switch, where LNB1 is used for Eurobird1, LNB 2 for Hotbird and the option I have selected in satellite configuration is "4 satellites via DiseqC opt A/B" where 1 - eurobird 28 - Diseqc AA, 2 - Hotbird 13 - DiseqC AB, 3 - 9.0e Eurobird - DiseqC BA and 4 is someother satellite which I do not have at the monent. Do you think I have to change the satellite configuration settings?
Where am I going wrong?, Please help.
Thanks

Dish 1 1 lnb ------------------------------> switch (position A)
Dish 2 2 lnb 13E -------->|_________>switch (position
Dish 2 2 lnb 09E -------->|
So the switch used to switch between dish 1 and dish 2 should be a uncommitted diseq switch. It's respond to the first diseq command and send it through the cable to the dish.
When the switch is not uncommitted the diseq command is stopped at the first switch and in the worst case it doesn't send the diseq commands throug in the other way the same diseq command is transmitted into the monoblock and the monoblock will only leave you with one lnb.
in example: Monoblock on position B will only activate the lnb inside monoblock which is also on position B
Monoblock on position A will only activate the lnb inside the monoblock which is also on position A
Hope i made it clear for you and excuse for my bad english
Good luck

Option 1: get a 4-1 diseq and 3 single lnbs and you have to make a holder yourself
Option 2: get a 2-1 diseq uncommitted.
Uncommitted means that the switch will listen to the first part of the diseq command and will continue with the command to the dish, so youre monoblock will also get the command to get to the right lnb.
I am almost sure your switch is not uncommitted and that is the reason that the 3rd lnb will never resond.
If i am not mistaken you can google for example for a spaun SUR211 switch which is uncommitted in compare with the spaun SAR211.
Do not get me wrong i only mentioned the brand and type for example. There are a lot other switches that can do the same.
Good Luck
Edit: the SAR211 is replaced by SAR212.

For time being can I drop Hotbird and move to eurobird9? Or it's not possible at all until and unless I get a uncommitted switch? If it's possible then until I get the diseq switch I can move to Eurobird9e. What settings do I make if at all it's possible?
Please suggest.

Done what you suggested, I am able to download services for eurobird1, but does not work for eurobird9e. Error I get is Error I get is all known transponders have been tried, but no lock was possible. Verify antenna/cable setup or try another satellite/network.
Any idea where I am going wrong?

But now, the scanning process went a bit further, it did not give me any error. It came to a page where it said scanning and just stops there. Does not scan at all. Will cancel the scan, restart the system and try to scan again. Will update you.

To move the dish is easy it has to turn a little bit more to the south, use a good signal meter or the box with laptop on which you can see the signal of the lnb.
Good Luck.

Hi,
From a setup point of view it is easier on your installation to replace the monoblock with 2 singles LNB, so you can use a commited 4 LNBs (3 also exist) and connect your LNB on it and then have 1 cable to your tuner, so setup is quite easy.
But if you want to still use a monoblock then you need to place an uncommited switch 2 entries in front of your current setup. So the first switch to commute is the uncommitted one and then the commited one that is internal to your monoblock LNB.

Just for your information, spanish Televes sells a 4 to 1 diseqc switch, which is specially designed to work with Monoblock LNB's.
It has an internal switch, which makes A+B inputs to be used on Port 1, with a Monoblock.
Look at the bottom of page 2 of this PDF: http://www.televes.e...pt-fr-en-ru.pdf

I forgot to say, that the big difference between the spaun (uncommited, diseqc 1.1) and the televes, is that the Televes works in mode 1.0, so no need to do uncommited.
You can work in 1.0 mode using the monoblock.
Besides, it makes possible to use Monoblock and before the 1.0 switch you can use a uncommited one and have 16 LNBs.
