I've got a SYNOLOGY DS210J and I'd like to mount it's video share on a DM7020 running the latest OpenPli.

I tried to mount it via the Mount manager without success.

How can I do ?

It works well...

Example:

Filesystem: CIFS
IP: IP of Synology
Mountpoint: /media/server1 or /media/server2 ...

Server directory: shared folder from Synology, f.eg.: video
username: dream ( in synology created user "dream" or can be used admin too )
password: what you set in synology for user dream

in Options is set: nolock, rw, intr, soft, LinuxExt, 8192,8192, udp

Add

//192.168.xxx.xxx/Movie /media/net/nas cifs rw,_netdev,username=xxxx,password=xxxxx 1 4

to fstab and reboot.

Off course username/password mus exist on NAS and have permission (to read at least).

Following your recommendations, I realised I made 2 mistakes :

- FileSystem was NFS instead of CIFS
- Server directory was "volume1/movie" instead of "movie"

Thanks a lot !

do not forget to make a new user in your Synology NAS with the ip of your satbox with read/write rights on the /movie directory. There you will see your NAS will show it as /volume1/movie

and... to make use of the NFS filesystem, you must "enable NFS" on your Synology NAS first!!

there should be no need to edit the fstab file
with the networkbrowser the only thing you have to do is browse to the NAS and create this mountpoint

on the Glassfibre 1GB DVB-C...

If only that were true! As you can see in a number of posts, there is hardly anyone who can use the browser as it is intended. That is also the reason that the same question pops up so often: mounting via the commandline is not that easy (if you are not an Enigma-guru).

Old topic, but this is the first search result in Google.

If you want to mount a Synology share as CIFS in OpenPLI, it’s very important to remove the last part ,tcp from the "Mount options." Once removed, the connection is established instantly, and the "Mount options" are updated automatically. (Currently, it shows: vers=3.0,sec=ntlmssp,rw,nolock—no manual configuration needed.)
