update till 16th october online

also some news:
http://www.bbc.co.uk...ding-BBC-One-HD
and
http://www.bbc.co.uk...on_changes.html

so I'll see what exactly will happen, and if there will still be info available,
and if it will be worthwhile updating the xml files

update till 28th october is online

I had to make some changes to my file to create the xml because the structure of the info changed + changes in the red button (see below)

although I tested it quickly, there might be an error in the file, feel free to comment

BBC Sport website and Red Button schedule

• The BBC is making changes to its Red Button services.

• Announced as part of the BBC's Delivery Quality First proposals in October 2011 and approved by the BBC Trust in May 2012, the BBC is reducing the number of video streams via Red Button from nine to one.

• This is because Red Button relies entirely on linear broadcast technologies, which are not cost-effective for an interactive service like Red Button.

• Sport on Red Button will be most affected by this change as the permanent Sport multiscreen will no longer be available. Sport events will still be available in full online at www.bbc.co.uk/sport

• Red Button will continue to be a vibrant and valuable BBC service with one video stream, offering audiences high quality content across all genres.

• For more information visit www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/bbcinternet/

The past 2 years I tried to update the "RED button" resources as good as possible, and used the result in the EPG frequently

due to the recent changes (only 1 BBCi channel left) the info on the website is also mixed with "web only" programms

the result is:
-I have some additional work to filter the info (not yet investigated if I could improve this)

-the info for the EPG is minimal (much less than before)

as a consequence my motivation to continue is quite low :(

are the many people using these resources?

Some feedback would be nice.

I'm sorry to announce I decided to discontinue the xml file for BBCi

as I explained in my previous post, for me it's no longer worthwhile to (manually) maintain the file

I just uploaded a last version with an small message to communicate this - the message appears in the EPG till 31st decembre

bye bye
