well, I tried to add hebrew to source cause hebrew don't exist there ! only arabic
I modify alsmost everythink also locale.alias ,epg files he.png ...
po file ... flag ..font supported
after compile it does not work
I also try replace with an exist lang ... nothing
the only image has hebrew until now ... is gemini , and they well not release new image for dm500 !! and this is ridiculous
I also tried to decompress the installed image from dreambox mtd5 and edit it ... also not work
any hint here to overcome this issue

Can you attache language.po file here ? I will try add it in next week ...

How you can try use it:
If you have .mo , rename it to tuxbox-enigma.mo, download and install some language via Software management and then replace file in:

/var/share/locale/xxx (where xxx is downloaded language) with your file

thanks for reply friend
I attach the file mo,po

How you can try use it:
If you have .mo , rename it to tuxbox-enigma.mo, download and install some language via Software management and then replace file in:
/var/share/locale/xxx (where xxx is downloaded language) with your file

that's exactly what I did but it's not detect language !
only when I replay it for example with tuxbox-enigma.mo to another lang ! sounds crazy
and if it's works there is no epg hebrew ... even when modify encoding.conf -- /var/tuxbox/config/enigma (config) with "
heb ISO8859-8 "

but can u plz tell me how that possible to add and get it works?
another thing if I want to recompile with same image only compile the changes !?! I heard need delete enigma can u point at it?

Best regards

1) he.png -> enigma/data/pictures/countries
2) there add into Makefie.am to end line: he.png
3) there in enigma/data/skins in file default.esml find line <img name="country_missing" src="missing.png" /> and put before it line:
<img name="country_he" src="he.png" />

4) he.po -> enigma/po
5) into enigma/po/LINGUAS add to end: he
6) into enigma/po/locale.alias add to end: Hebrew he_HE

for CDK: there in .../pli-cvs/cdk/cdk/ in Makefile.am
look line: # lib
7)there is section with languages. Add to end: he_HE
8)look for line: /languages; Here add (alphabetical): he
9)under line: if CHINESE_NO add to end: he
10)under line: if CHINESE_YES add to end : he
- note, if you want to have in your own image your language, dont add it under section "if CHINESE_NO" (9)

run
autoreconf --force --install in directory: .../pli-cvs/cdk/cdk/ and in directory: .../pli-cvs/cdk/apps/tuxbox/enigma/

then build image

attached is he.png (3D)

Note: finish translating of he.po

ok friend after test it ... now we able to see the flags ... but when choose
language itself it does not apple ! as u know when choose language should be "Choose your language..." in localized (he.po should be ok) also my font is modified (and tested with gemini) multiple hebrew,arab,russian...etc 215kb
but with hebrew not work ,no problem with arabic !
and that the problem I faced before

all was tried there on OpenPli with standard setting.
If I tried it, main menu was translated, Setup menu was not translated. What you see there ?

Dont forget ... change of language is visible after closing all menus

Note: what I can see top on screen ? It is english ???

ok ty for reply
not all po file translated cause it's take lot's of time when I finish translate it I will upload it to this topic
here is the problem ... when u choose hebrew nothing happen ! and it's automaticly take the last language u choose ! if u do play with up/down and u reache arabic then hebrew will take arabic and so on with english...etc simply ignore it !

"Dont forget ... change of language is visible after closing all menus"
I test that point ...same as well

"Dont forget ... change of language is visible after closing all menus"
as I mention it's take the last language u choose !

Did you trying compile dm500s or dm500 maxvar ? I think, there will be problem with maxvar, because there in maxvar is presented only English and all other languages must be downloadable via Software management from PLi server.

arabic works with maxvar, because language packet can be downloaded (and installed) via Software management.
If will be hebrew on PLi server too and will be this changes into PLi added, will be hebrew works with maxvar too.

There can be way try it install manually from tmp. I can see on it.

hey again
I compile it with normal mode (not maxvar)
it's seem everything ok but only one problem it's the epg

this channel is broadcast 4epg's arabic, hebrew, russian, english when u change the interface it should take the correct epg for each language
I tried to modify encoding.conf but not help
any idea ?
#---------encoding.conf------------
heb ISO8859-8
tur ISO8859-9
gre ISO8859-7
pol ISO8859-2
rus ISO8859-5

if you want to have for language same language of EPG ( if is broadcasted ), you must to have added language there in epgwindow.cpp too. If not, then is as first taked ENG.

{"he_HE","heb"},

dont forget increase number from 41 to 42
