Hello, I am from Montreal,Canada.
I am a new user of a DM500s .
I loaded the jADE2 .
I use it for Dishnetwork
I would like to know an easy way to get 1 day EPG for Dish.
I have now only 2 hours....
I read on your wiki, but it seems complicated and for UK.
Can someone help?
Thank you .
Merci.

First:
You are using an enigma1 machine. Setting this up for epg importing is much more complicated than in enigma2.
I never used Jade2 for this (it may work) but used always Jade3
Second:
You are using a DM500, which is the most difficult to set up, since you have to store the epg database on a mounted external drive, which proved in the past a nigthmare. Other DM boxes are easier to configure since you can store the database either on the internal HDD, USB stick of CF card.
I you want to try to setup the SQlite database store on your DM500 you can download the guide at: www.rytec.be in the enigma1 section.
Also search on this forum for the mount parameters for the drive needed for SQlite. Several threads are aivalable.
Third.
You will need a source for the epg. We do not have Canadian epg. However in North-America the program mc2xml could bring relief. Google for it.
Fourth.
Importing the XMLTV file in the box. You will need to adapt the batch files from one of the sources that are in the epgimporter program. If you succeeded in downloading XMLTV files, I could assist you in modifying the batch (.sh) and configuration (.cfg) files of the epgimporter.
