i managed to get it work but not with the pli drivers. I have installed all pli pakages and then I have overwritten the dvb-usb-af9015.ko module with the ones provided by the shiftTeam.

With this solution when I stan by the vu duo and I wake it up the usb tuner does not work, i get no service found and there isn't any error on dmesg. I do not know what to do but i thing its a drivers problem.

So for now there's no way to make the Volar Black HD (A850) work properly with the VU+ and PLi ? Too bad as I already had this tuner. I Think I'm gonna buy the Hauppauge Nova T HD then, as it seems to work fine.

dear cyb I got a volar black hd (a850) and it works for me. I used the v4l-dvb-module-dvb-af9015.ko from sifteam to make it work.

OK, I've tested the Sif Image for Vu+ Duo and the a850 (Volad Black HD) works fine with it.
So I've extracted the af9015.ko driver from this image and replaced the one in OpenPLi.

But the tuner still doesn't appear in the tuner list ...

Could you please explain how did you manage to make it work ? I've read the whole thread but there are so many tests and tips that doesn't work...

Hmmmm.... OK, now after several reboots, and I do not know why it did not work after the first reboot, the tuner finally appears in the menu.

But .... I've done a service search and no channel is found ...

@lorddarks colud please upload somewhere that v4l-dvb-module-dvb-af9015.ko file and write where to paste it. I have a850 dvb-t stick I can see at menu but serch 0 chanels and get same error then you on the begining.

After the SIF image, the VTI image now supports the A835 (Volar HD) Tuner ...

I assume they did not fix the sourcecode, but compiled with -O0 as a workaround.

Somebody should find the time to fix the code, so it produces a working result with -O2.

I'm not an expert in Linux and drivers/sources ... That's why I, like many other people, are asking expert people like you for help ...

The drivers from these images are not working properly with PLi . When doing a scan, sometimes the channels are found, sometimes they are not. And even when they are found, it cannot display the channels, there is a "no signal" error.

Are you sure that you set the tuner to the European configuration. By default it is set at Australian configs.

Yes I have. And it has found the channels one time only. Since this unique moment, it cannot find anything, and the channels are not working (no signal). Everything is properly plugged in and the Tuner still appears on the tuner list so this is probably just a driver issue.

I just have to add that I tryed use that stick on black hole image and it work's perfekt, just instal drivers and rebot vu.

SIF driver works perfectly under SIF image, but not with PLi. Same with VTI driver. I'll try the BlackHole driver, but I think something is probably needed in order to make it work properly with PLi.
