Hello guys,

i have an issue with movieplayer.

I flashed my DM500+ with OpenPLi-beta-dm500plus-20110129 and made all movieplayer settings as described here in wiki.
On my Win7 PC I started VLC vlc-1.1.6.

Movieplayer is playing the movies very well, but when i'm using PAUSE button, its playing the movie from beginning and not from the location where i pushed the PAUSE button :(

Have you an idea, what maybe wrong here?

Best regards
kasjak2000

Streaming doesn't support pause. You might get away with pausing for a couple seconds, but longer than that and you see what happens...

I have tried yesterday the old Gemini 4.7.
It has VLCF to play files from a computer.
Pause is working like a charm with VLCF, in spite of a pause longer than a couple minutes.
But during playing avi files, the utilization of the dreambox-processor goes direction 100% and the stream is starting to stuck.
And I dont like Gemini, so back to Openpli.

What a bummer, that the movieplayer doesnt support PAUSE :(

VLC does not support PAUSE in streaming. It is its feature. If you press PAUSE, then after several secs are not any data in stream and conection finifhing. What I saw VLCF, it always ends after cca 10s too. May be, that in VLCF is freezed picture and is still sending JUPM to -1s, but after PLAY will be delay. And A/V was not synchronized in most cases...
