Hi everybody,

 

I see that you have already make a great job to creat an EGP Available in Indian Ocean for Eutelsat 16 (Canalsat Reunion / Parabole Reunion / Orange Reunion).

 

i'm a novice on the box configuration.

 

Actually, i have a solo2 using Blackhole image. Crossepg is running but he doesn't download the EPG. He tell me that EPG succesfull download but when i go by FTP i see the epg.dat make only 50 kb. So i think the download is not good. More over, i just have the epg for the actual program and the next one.

 

I download via cross epg : Csat West Africa / Horizon.

 

Can anyone help me to configure well my EPG please ?

 

i already put the 2 docs called "crossepg_rytec_udpate.py" and "crossepg_rytec_udpate.pyo" in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/CrossEPG/

 

Moreover, i don't have a folder "crossepg" on etc/crossepg. I Read on your official website "rytec.be" that i must download Rytec source and rytec chanel and put it on "etc/crossepg"

 

Any help will be great.

BlackHole:  this is a bit out of our experience.

And secondly if you read about crossepg, you know my feelings about it (this software stinks)

 

However crossepg can work.

 

First of all at the moment crossepg and XMLTVimport (EPGimport) are up to date on Github.

If the image suppliers use the recent versions on the Github, there is no need to alter all kind of settings on crossepg.

 

So I recommended, delete the crossepg version (with all the alterations you have made) via the menu - Applications - remove.

Now install crossepg from the feed of your image:  Menu - Applications - Download and find crossepg.

However I prefer you are using XMLTimport (EPGimport), but I do not know if this is offered in BH.

 

Now configure Crossepg (or XMLTVimport). 

In the main menu of Crossepg press Menu and select Update Rytec Providers.

 

After this select the Rytec package you want to import. 

Finally perform an import.

 

Do not use the data on rytec.be any more these are obsolete.

I uninstall and re install crossepg 0.8.1 (i don't find XMLTV IMPORT.ipk on Image donwload menu and TSPANEL)

 

i'm going on the cross epg menu => press update rytec providers and get the message "cannot retrieve rytec sources"

 

i read on other forum that we must delete and put new file (crossepg_rytec_update.py and crossepg_rytec_update.pyo) in "/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/CrossEPG/".

 

I didn't make the last operation this time. can you confirm me that i must do it or not ?

argghh.  It seems that BH is not up-to-date (although they confirmed to me that they supply the most current version)

 

I have attached the crossepg_rytec_update.py file (zipped)  - I cannot quaranty files downloaded from other sources - they may or not may be correct.

Unzip this file and place in: \usr\lib\enigma2\python\Plugins\SystemPlugins\CrossEPG\

Delete the crossepg_rytec_update.pyo file (this is the compiled version - the py file will be compiled when you restart your system)

 

Now restart your box, and try again to update the rytec sources.

thanks for your rapidity.

 

To answer you, blackhole just make a new image, when i read the charateristic they tell us that crossepg take Rytec update. Me i have the old version of blackhole and i think that it not up to date. the new image i think it's ok.

 

I just make this manipulation and all work well !! EPG for 7 days

Hi Doglover,

 

i just see some "mistake" for example, for "Be in Sport 1 on canalsat Reunion" the EPG is not good, he give me the EPG for another chanel which is "Thalassa" i think.

 

How i can change the reference ID for some chanel on the rytec chanel file ?

 

i don't know if i am the only one who is in this situation or all people have the same problem.

This is a general problem if channels change from position on the satellite.

I cannot receive this particular satellite, so users have to pass me the correct service reference.

In this case I probably have a wrong service ref for BeinSport1

We might have a different problem.

The first 2 channels I checked the link is still OK:

But I grab these from reunion.orange.fr and it seems that the grabber needs some maintenance (it fails)

I a going this to fix first before we are going to check all the channels.

Found out that the orange website does not contain descriptions.  So I changed the channels to the canalsat website.

Grab is running at the moment.

Grab is finished.

Checked also the service refs in the channels file, and had to change/add quite a few of them.

 

This process has taken all my time today.

 

I know already that not all channels are fixed, but I hope the majority is.

Also there is always the risk of double entries (a channel receives 2 sets of EPG).  You will see then a mixed EPG - good entries mixed with bad entries.

 

Pls. tell me which channels do not have EPG yet

And which are wrong.

 

The revised XMLTV file and channels file are uploaded, and can be imported.  (do not forget in this instance clearing allthe EPG in your receiver, and give the receiver a reboot to force a fresh download of the channels file)

Today it seems that all your change are OK.

 

The only bad EPG is for Be in sport 2 on Orange TV.

 

All other chanel seems to be Ok.

 

If i see some bad EPG will post here.

I am grabbing from reunion.orange.fr, parabolereunion.reunion.com and canalplus-reunion.com

No sign of these channels on these websites.

I have a schedule for some of these channels for France.  I could grab them from there, but I am not sure if there is a time offset.

Look f.i. at http://television.telerama.fr for the schedules of Gulli and E! and judge if you have an offset or it is a different schedule alltogether

 

Comedie should have EPG tomorrow.  Corrected the grab.

Since it is a wrong EPG, it is wise to delete it first.  Incorrect leftovers would disturb the picture.

Checking only if the empty schedules are filled now can be done by just importing (there is nothing wrong in the receiver - just missing something)
