PLI images don't have device manager ?

but i want to manage my usb stick, i want to mount media/usb...

AFAIK it is not in OpenPLi. Best is to mount your usb BY-LABEL or BY-UUID. TUse f.i. BY-LABEL then you have to find out the label of your USB.
Assumed you gave the USB as label: USB

Then edit /etc/fstab by adding this line:

LABEL=USB /media/usb ext3 rw 0 0

a usb stick will automatically be mounted on /media/usb

Sorry but in my machine it isn't - it's sda1 and USB doesn't show anything... It's an internal USB port where I mounted a 16GB USB Cruizer stick but...

Why do I need it? To create a SWAP file so a system update can work on my box. Too many updates (60+) and it crashes, then only a re-flash helps...
