I use weekepglog plugin to download Sky Italy OpenTV EPG from trasponder.
The results is an epg.dat file usable by MV 3.5.2 (with MHW-IT configuration).
Can I import this epg.dat in to an SQLlite EPG using db_epg ?

Looking the db_epg option I found this:

-t, --type <type> :type of reader to use (available types are listed below):

How can I use this epgdat type?

No you cannot import epg.dat with db_epg. Tried this numerous times - never succeeded.

But try our source for enigma1 for enigma1 pli (Open). The channel links are are bit out-dated, so you have tp use build in channel linker to correct this. (www.rytec.be - enigma1 section)

The italian source is back on line.

The epg.dat createt by weekepglog is not the classic binary epg.dat generated by enigma itself.

An example of this epg.dat:
C 1309 Sky Sports 1
E 1 1297317600 10800
T Live European Tour Golf
X 1297317600
S Sport: Golf
L 180
D Day one of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic from the Emirates Golf Club. World number one Lee Westwood will join Tiger Woods in a star-studded field at the the Emirates Golf Club. Also in HD
E 2 1297328400 1800
T Inside The PGA Tour
X 1297328400
S Sport: Golf
L 30
D Recent Farmers Insurance Open champion Bubba Watson gives us access to the largest Naval base on the west coast. Plus, all the news from the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Also in HD

as you can see this is plain text ad not a binary format.
There is no way to import this in SQLlite EPG?

This format would be more comfortable because i can download it directly from sateliite and not from the internet
(and this method works both for sky italy and sky uk).
