For a PC there's no problem: use the standard webinterface, or the DreamboxManagerSuite E2. Both provide all the EPG-data that's on the box. And there will probably more programs doing the same job.Sometimes I like to check what's on the channels, from my PC or maybe even from a SmartPhone.

Hi
Anyone know of a good software to display the contens from the Rytec.be xml file?
Sometimes I like to check whats on the channels, from my PC or maybe even from a SmartPhone.
But I cant seem to find any SW for PC og Windows Mobile that read the file.
I use notepad++ to edit the rytec.channels.xml files

Yep, but editing files is not what he asked for (".... to check what's on the channels").
Oeps
but OK, maybe maybe someone can post here a good free utility to at least view the channelfiles on a smartphone too.

You can try:

or the attached

Nice and clean little program, but it opens the file (rytecxmltv_nordic.xml) with this message:
"The file 'rytecxmltv_nordic.xml' does not appear to be a Radio Times XMLTV file."
I have e-mailed Ian Bishop to hear if his program is specific to "Radio Times XMLTV", will get back here with any reply from Bishop.

On Android phones you can install "DreamDroid". With this app you will have full control of your dreambox - included EPG.
You can even stream (but this require a lot of bandwith).
Think there is one for evil Apple's Iphone to: iDreamX should work on E1&E2, since I will never have an Iphone its only hear say...... /images/smiley/shock.gif

I did not test the Nordic file with it. But some of our other files open with it. Others experience the same error.
Do not know why. There seems to be something in these files which is fatal for this program, but I have not found it.

Could it be the funny Danish characters like ÆØÅæøå, i.e. file not being Unicode or sum-thing?

Unzip the content to a dir. Download the nordic file, Unzip and place the unzipped file in the apps dir.
rename the the unzipped nordic file to tv.xml
Double click on tv.html.
Or this: http://sourceforge.n...se_mirror=sunet
Opens also the Nordic file
Or select something from here: http://wiki.xmltv.or...RelatedProjects
