Hi
I do not know how it works, but I think that the right channels are loaded, but the program title and describtion is in the worng langauge.

So my question was, could you generate a denmark xmltx file instead of the conbined nordic ??

btw. I have ediet the source file to contain only this

<sources>

Rytec Denmark XMLTV

</sources>

and followed the reboot procedure described erlier, without any luck.....still norwigian langauge

Hi Rytec

This is all that is in the logfile...

Btw. I have tried with Cross EPG, which uses your file, http://www.xmltvepg....cxmltvnordic.gz
and it has DK langauge......at least on TV1000 Channels

BUT I do not want to use Cross EPG !!!

Will it some time be possible to import our own XML file from another source, because a website called ontv.dk can supply xml files with TV info ??

/Jan

If Crossepg imports the file correctly, then xmltv import should do as well.

Reboot your box, to force the importer to read the channelfile again. And reimport.

From this info:

<display-name lang="dk">TV3+ HD DK</display-name>

<display-name lang="dk">DR1 DK</display-name>

<display-name lang="dk">DR2 DK</display-name>

<display-name lang="dk">TV2 DK</display-name>

<display-name lang="dk">TV2 Zulu DK</display-name>

<display-name lang="dk">TV2 Charlie DK</display-name>

<display-name lang="dk">TV3 DK</display-name>

<display-name lang="dk">TV3+ DK</display-name>

<display-name lang="dk">TV3 Puls DK</display-name>

<display-name lang="dk">Kanal 4 DK</display-name>

you have to make a channel ref file:

like this

1:0:1:259:1c:46:e080000:0:0:0:

and so on.

put these in in a own.channels.xml file and place this file in /etc/epgimport

You have to make also own.sources.xml file and put this file also in /etc/epgimport

own.sources.file

<sources>

Denmark XMLTV

</sources>

of course this: /hdd/epg/testepg.xml should reflect your own situation. (In this case the testepg.xml file resides on the box internal HDD in a dir called /epg/)

Jan,

[EPGImport] failed to open '/etc/epgimport/jan.channels.xml': No module named email.utils
[EPGImport] Failed to parse channels from '/etc/epgimport/jan.channels.xml': No valid channels found

There must be an error in the channels file. But the syntax of the channels file looks allright.

Except!!! (and I had problems with this before - so I avoid them now)

In the channel id you have a / (back slash): www.ontv.dk/tv/1

This is probably a special character in XML files which should not be there. I had problems with _ (underscore) and & (ampersands).

On the other hand I could be barking up the wrong tree:
also this error is there: [EPGImport] failed to open '/etc/epgimport/jan.channels.xml': No module named email.utils

I do not know what the module email.utils is. But it did not open the jan.channels.xml. Did you place it in /etc/epgimport ?

The testfile (XMLTV) is read but since it did not have any channels to link to nothing is imported.

Your jan.channels.xml fails to open. I do not know why, because I cannot spot an error in it.

Jan,

You could try opening another thread with a more descriptive title. This may attract more people to read it.
I am at a stalemate now. I cannot figure out what is wrong.

Maybe you can try putting the channels file at another place, and adapting the source file accordingly. See if this helps.

Jan,

It seems that an error crept in the xmltv plug-in, so it won't read local files anymore.
A fix is being programmed as we speak.

An intermediate solution is placing the files on a website, and referencing them by an url.

Hi Willy

I have tried the trick with a website and it does not work. My source file is not listed in the plugin

I have used theese files.

I have tried to place them on this web http://www.famsl.dk/...an.channels.xml

I think I will wait for the corrected version of the plugin
