I'm looking for a way to disable the trash can feature in the recordings. Any ideas?

This can be switched of via the menu... put it might be possible you need to restart Enigma2 to made this effective.(Recording settings I guess).

Disabling it only affects new recordings and deletion of files, no restart is needed.

Empty the existing trash can manually from the recording list, simply "delete" the folder.

I just wonder why you'd want to disable the trashcan?

It's just a habit of being used to things actually being deleted directly, much like the shift-DEL in Windows. ;)

I think you should give it a serious try first... The one in OpenPLi is way better than the Windows one, and it prevents buffering problems if you delete a file while a recording is running.

OK, I'll give it a shot. Buffering is no issue for me, since all my stuff is stored on the NAS (5 disks in RAID6 ;), so it's plenty fast already.
