I know VU+NL is not impressed but I have modified the skin to show ecm data etc more to my liking; tested on VIX image on ET9000, PLi2.0 image on Vu+Duo and Pli2.0 on dm800

It's not about me being impressed or not. The point is, that extra renderers are needed. And as a skinner, I hesitate to add them: it's for imagemakers to do so if needed/wanted (unless they tell me otherwise).
And I agree that they add some extra functionality/more information.

BTW: Making this kind of "personal modifications" can better be done in the skin_user.xml: the screens in there will "override" screens in the skin.xml and they will not be lost by a skin-upgrade.

Yeah I know I dont have it and I dont know who makes the file I think it might be the author of the LT6 HD skin but I am not sure

So don't get me wrong: you can perfectly well make changes for personal use (but again: the skin_user.xml is more suited for that), and I even like them, but I can't offer them for general use.

Thats weird as from what I can gleam only the SIB uses that; the info screens seem to use cryptoinfo

Your modded skin uses "ExtraInfo" (in the InfoBar); if "extrainfo.py" would be available, Littlesat could add the functionality of that to pliExpertInfo. That way the functionality of "ExtraInfo" would be available in PLi and all PLi-based images.
CryptoInfo is not used in your skin, but is already available in PLi.

I have asked around some forums for the souce code for Extrainfo but I wouldnt hold my breath looks like a gemini thing and we all know what those guys are like

All the stuff in yellow (except the time and date) ie encyption type caid, ecm time, network, protocol used etc etc

In fact the same info is approx. also available in the 2nd infobar...

On channel change the info is there without having to press okay twice to get not as detailed info
But eh everyone to their owne.
I like it so I am going to stick with it, up to other people if they want to use it or not

Place in /etc/enigma2/
You will still need the Extrainfo.pyo file
