Hi,

I understand new drivers based on kernel 2.6.31 may be available soon for ET-9000.

Please advise how I can build a new openpli image to incorporate these drivers. Will it be sufficient to update the bitbake of :-

linux-etx000.inc and linux-et9000.bb ?

Do I also need to update the bitbake of linux-libc-headers ?

Regards, pcd.

Sorry, it is a hypothetical question.

I just want to know how to update the kernel for any new driver.

To use drivers compiled against a newer kernel, they should provide us with the kernel sourcecode against which the drivers were built.
And the kernel config of course.
They need to be compatibel, in order for the drivers to load.

Also, you probably need to use a corresponding linux-libc-headers version, and rebuild all external kernel driver packages.

I'm not aware of such plans, but if they bring out new drivers, I guess they'll inform us about necessery changes to make them work.
