Panasonic TH-42PZ700EA <-> ET9K

Does not work for me:
TV gets in standby (OK), and does not get up again(NOK).
The TV only responds to a standby of the receiver by going in standby.
Automatic channel switching does not work.

There are only 2 hdmi devices connected (PS3 and ET9K) and the TV is in hotel mode (ET9K channel by default).

I thought something was wrong with the television, but then I saw this topic.

I disabled the driver for now.

Dear developers help.
I have a Samsung 40A457C1DXBT with Anynet +.
TV turns on automatically when the tuner out of standby.
TV switches to the desired output.
The tuner is controlled by TV remote control, switch channels.
I'd like when you turn off the tuner (standby mode or full stop), what would the TV off.
May be the most correct value which is in / lib / python / Components / HdmiCec.py.
Do not tell me?

TV : Panasonic P50VT20
AMP : Pioneer VSX-2021
STB : ET-9000
BR : Panasonic BDT100

ET9000 & BDT100 --> VSX-2021 --> VT20

At first glance my setup didn't work with CEC. Only power on/off worked, but no volume forwarding or other buttons forwarding.
After a reboot of the et9k (with receiver and tv powered on) everything was ok. In my setup the et9k is the last device to power on for successfull cec negotiation.
Number keys, bouquet keys, arrow keys, ok key and color buttons from tv remote are forwarded to the stb. The option key of the tv remote shows the main menu from the et9k.

There is one "problem". When I select viera link on the tv remote and switch to the bluray player, the player is turned on, bluray input selected etc.
When I switch back to "other" (viera link name for et9000) there is a kind of loop and nothing happens.

eHdmiCEC: received message 8F
eHdmiCEC: send message 90 00
eHdmiCEC: received message 8F
eHdmiCEC: send message 90 00
eHdmiCEC: received message 8F
eHdmiCEC: send message 90 00
.
[loop until timeout]
.
eHdmiCEC: received message 8F
eHdmiCEC: send message 90 00
eHdmiCEC: received message 8F
eHdmiCEC: send message 90 00
eHdmiCEC: received message 8F
eHdmiCEC: send message 90 00
eHdmiCEC: received message 8F
eHdmiCEC: send message 90 00
eHdmiCEC: received message 8F
eHdmiCEC: send message 90 00

When I select the et9k input on the receiver the stb screen is back on tv, but button forwarding doesn't work anymore until I reboot the et9k.

Switch BR off en select ET-9000 input on receiver:

eHdmiCEC: received message 80 00 00 20 00
eHdmiCEC: received message 81 21 00
eHdmiCEC: received message 86 21 00
eHdmiCEC: received message 80 21 00 25 00
eHdmiCEC: received message 8C
eHdmiCEC: send message 87 00 00 00
eHdmiCEC: received message 46
eHdmiCEC: send message 47 65 74 39 30 30 30
eHdmiCEC: received message 86 25 00
eHdmiCEC: send message 82 25 00
eHdmiCEC: received message 8C
eHdmiCEC: send message 87 00 00 00
eHdmiCEC: received message 8C
eHdmiCEC: send message 87 00 00 00
eHdmiCEC: received message 8C
eHdmiCEC: send message 87 00 00 00

This are my experiences with this beautifull plugin.

I have et5000 and Samsung C530. HDMI-CEC works ok, except for one thing. This settings (check out picture that i attached below) always reverts to default while TV is in standby. I dont know if this is firmware problem (i have latest firmware on C530) or et5000 problem.

Is there anyone else that have same problem?

adjusting those settings is not part of the (standard) cec command set, so I think it must be something the tv does by itself.

Hi,

- TV goes on if you turn on your TV ( YES )
- TV switches to the correct HDMI input channel( NO )
- With your TV remote you can controll the STB ( NO )
- TV goes off when you turn off your STB ( NO )
- STB goes on when you turn on the TV, and the correct HDMI input will be selected ( NO )
- With your TV remote you can controll your STB ( NO )
- STB goes off when you turn off your TV ( NO )

- TV goes on when I turn off STB ( YES )

for example the OSD name, should be 'hostname'. ( et9000 )

Nothing in the logfile that belongs to HDMI.

Additionally I had to say I searched this forum on how to enable enigma logging.
You have to enter init level 4 and then start enigma manually:

# init 4
# enigma2 > /hdd/enigma2log

In this logfile:
....
eHdmiCEC: received message 87 00 E0 91
eHdmiCEC: received message 00
eHdmiCEC: received message 8C
eHdmiCEC: send message 87 00 00 00
....

this messages comes every ~minute

I also asked LG for a firmware update, but this update doesn't help activating hdmi-cec.

The tv is requesting the vendorid there.
We use 00 00 00 (no particular vendor id)
Maybe your tv gets a bit more cooperative if you use the LG vendor id instead:

elif message == "vendorid":
  cmd = 0x87
  data = '\x00\xE0\x91'

(python/Components/HdmiCec.py, line 110)

I have an LG 47lw550w and I have exactly the same problems as described above. I tried finding the file you mention, but the closest match seems to be: /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/HdmiCec.pyo which is not a text (source code) file. In order to try changing the vendor id would I have to compile my own image?

No compiling needed, python files are runtime-interpreted.

opkg install enigma2-src

and edit the file.
