hi again

after all i have compile a image for my stb :)
but i am a little confused and need some help
the working environment is ready for use after the
make -f Makefile-2.1 image
or it is nessesary to run also the
source env.source ; bitbake -k openpli-enigma2-feed
and
source env.source ; bitbake -b ../openembedded/recipes/images/openpli-enigma2-image.bb -c build
as in @christophecvr tutorial ? (thanks for this good tutorial)

i use the latest Makefile from sourceforge.net but my compile is ending with some error

Building with "bitbake -b file.bb" will only do what's in "file.bb", and will not take dependencies or so into account. For just building enigma2.bb that's usually okay, but if you want to create an image file, building "just" the image recipe will most likely not do what you want, or even fail.

To compile the image, the minimum you can do is:
source env.source
bitbake openpli-enigma2-image
This will build just the image and anything leading up to it, omitting lots of stuff that the "feed" version will build.
Real musicians never die - they just decompose

Hello,

I was trying to build openpli from scratch using Makefile-2.1.

One failure (among others :() it was caused by the enigma2-plugin-skins-magic-hd.bb

I believe the correct git is the following:

diff enigma2-plugin-skins-magic-hd.bb.old enigma2-plugin-skins-magic-hd.bb

The example1.c contains the following:

  /* Call a function that uses Orc */
  audio_add_s16 (c, a, b, N);

While the header file example1orc.h contains the following:

void audio_add_s16 (short * d1, int n);

Instead of the following:

void audio_add_s16 (short * d1, const short * s1, const short * s2, int n);

How does the header example1orc.h created, where should i look in the code in order to fix that?

Thanks.

The following code produces the header files.

../tools/orcc --implementation -o example1orc.c ./example1orc.orc
../tools/orcc --header -o example1orc.h ./example1orc.orc
../tools/orcc --implementation -o example2orc.c ./example2orc.orc

../tools/orcc --implementation -o mt19937arorc.c ./mt19937arorc.orc
../tools/orcc --header -o mt19937arorc.h ./mt19937arorc.orc

Any idea why this produces incorrect header file;

Dear all,

Building the bitbate alone succeds.

athoik@pc:~/openpli/build-dm800se$ bitbake -b /home/athoik/openpli/openembedded/recipes/orc/orc_0.4.10.bb -c clean

Strange huh?

I believe there is an option to keep sources, somebody remember this option?

There is no orc-native bitbake!

athoik@pc:~/openpli/build-dm800se$ bitbake -b /home/athoik/openpli/openembedded/recipes/orc/orc
orc/		   orc.inc		orc_0.4.10.bb  orc_0.4.3.bb   orc_0.4.4.bb   orc_0.4.5.bb   orc_0.4.9.bb
athoik@pc:~/openpli/build-dm800se$ bitbake -b /home/athoik/openpli/openembedded/recipes/orc/orc

PS. Just found keep sources option..

http://openpli.org/f...071#entry229071

try putting a # in front of INHERIT += "rm_work" in the site.conf
so it looks like

#INHERIT += "rm_work"

this is handy for keeping the source files aswell so if you need to patch/change anything you have the source to play with.

The RELEASE of the orc contains the following:

0.4.16
======

Fix a few bugs people noticed in 0.4.15.

- orc_init() tried to take the same mutex as generated C code that
   calls (indirectly) orc_init().
- sse: Fixes for 64 bit pointers with any of the upper 32 bits set.

0.4.15
======

This should have been release much earlier.

- Protect global resources with mutexes. Duh. This solves a bunch
   of bug reports.
- Restore c64x-c backend.  Untested.
- Convert MMX and SSE backends to a new instruction scheduler.
- Add alignment and size hints to parser.

So whats the safest way to go? Use the latest? 0.4.16

Any idea why 0.4.10 (actually 0.4.9 to 0.4.14) fails?

I compiled gst-ffmpeg today, which went flawlessly. However I did use OpenPLi 3.0.

I can't use OpenPli 3.0 yet. :(

Maybe you can just skip compilation of the examples.

Is it safe to skip examples?

Thanks Sjaaky.

Dear all,

I just build a Ubuntu server 12.04 x64 from scratch!

Now the orc has not problem, but gst-ffmpeg fails.

Once again for the help.

Hello everybody,

Is anybody able to compile gst-ffmpeg (for dm800se) using Makefile2.1? (after running bitcake -c clean gst-ffmpeg)

Very nice. I'm running OpenPLi 3.0 as well. Do you have an ipk file to share?
