Hello!

I'm using newest oozoon image with GP3 on a DM800se.

I'm expiriencing many problems:

- scheduled download doesn't work at all
- update after reboot works, but ends in a never ending circle: updates, restarts, update starts again...
- if I say no to the restart prompt, the processor stays overloaded; restart is obligatory
- manual update works only after restart, enigma2 restart and a lot of luck... Normaly I get
"ERRNO12: Cannot allocate memory"
- updated services should be around 107000, atm only 98800 (erotic, croatia, german, UK, UK)

I've updated to the newest plugin via ipkg update and also opkg update + corresponding plugin update code.

Hope somone can help me!

Greetings

I don't understand! Isn't this the official xmltv plugin thread?

Am I the only one experiencing this problems? BTW I couldn't get any answer in the ihad forum, that's why I asked the question here.

I'm using newest oozoon image with GP3 on a DM800se.

This is the problem. We do not know anything about this.
The tests are performed on a OpenPli image. It works there. The plug-in should work on other images to but no warranty can be given. The writer of the plug-in is Milo, which is a developer here for OpenPli. You cannot expect from him to debug other images as well.

In the past I have used the Oozoon image as well (on my DM7025), and it worked there. Never tried the GP3 plug-in.

If any solution has to be found, it has to come from users which use the same setup as you. You can posts it here, but the moderators cannot help you. For instance I am not prepared to flash my box with Oozoon and GP3. BTW: it cannot because I have a VU+ duo for which no Oozoon image is available. The DM7025 is a backup machine on which I do not want to experiment. It has to work when i need it.

Did you engage the automatic update upon start?
If this is enabled in your case, the update will restart automatically after each restart.

I see. If it works flawlessyl with Openpli it has to be a compatibility issue with GP3 or oozoon, then.

Yes! I'm not sure if I understand it correctly, but every time an auto update after a boot is conducted it reboots completly and not only enigma2. Isn't that a bug???

I think normally only enigma2 should be restarted.

Maybe, maybe not. In my case the box is restarted and not only enigma2.

Thanks doglover for your time.

It's a pitty, that I don't get an answer from a developer...

The XMLTV isn't the source of your issues: As stated before. This is an openpli forum. So don't expect replies from devs.
For support on reboots of your image you have to contact your image developer team.

Since the a few day's I started using CrossEPG instead of XMLTV/EPGImport because of the "ERRNO12: Cannot allocate memory" error. CrossEPG is a loooooooooooooooooot faster if you use the XEPGDB providers.

I really loved the work of Milo however it is time to move on after years of using EPGImport.

Milo is also putting a lot of effort in openpli and with openpli xmlepgimporter works like a charm.
So why not try openpli 2.1 for a while?
