I did uninstall the original webif before update and also get a green screen with the same error you've had.
After that i deleted the original webif folder like i said ,and it was oké .

Here this method works. First I have uninstalled (official way) webinterface old and restarted the box. After reboot I got the green screens and no any television channel. With FTP I deleted the folder of the old webinterface and my television gave again normal view. Plnick made already a fix for this.
Today i upgraded the box and i received this greenscreen:
Manual delete the original webinterface map from plugin directory, and try again.
ok, i tried again and same problem. This worked ok before todays update.
Meega is mega fast and said the same;).

Minor issues:
"Grab screenshot" -> "View actual image" gives me always an image in the size of 1280x720 even for a 576i/1080i channel which original size should be something like 1024x576/1920x1080 (assuming 16:9 AR for this example)?
Busy indication for "Grab screenshot" is upscaled to 720x720(?) or something at first run. This doesn't scale well and shouldn't be scaled(?)
Suggestion:
Add an icon for streaming in the current view. It's kinda hidden now.

That is true most of the time. Even when connected through LAN.Btw, it is still one step later, than position in menu on box.
However needed delay might differ on your network connection and that delay will also be for video where it is not needed but just makes things slow. So we would need that delay only if OSD is open.
Another minor issue:
Current view will show busy indication forever if box is in standby.

And again a minor issue: when a screenshot has been made, a second one is not possible (until after renewing the page).
I still have to refresh the page before a second screengrab works.I did put back the old code for grabbing screenies work fine now - https://github.com/E...77e26b6eec2f49f

An example would be Polish characters. When I enter "życie" (which menas "life") I do not get any results: Sorry, no items found.
However, I am sure this word appears in many titles. If I leave out the first letter ("ycie") I get many results.
How is it with other national characters such as German, Scandinavian, not to mention Cyrillic alphabets?
I guess the original WebInterface has the same problem.

Same problem with german umlauts.Perhaps this is not the most important point but how does "Epg Search" cope with national characters?

But as a workaround use:

Shouldn't be that hard to fix.

Just using Screenshot (OSD) makes it a little better, but still needs improvements.Control via remote control is bad still.
(Webif was long time OK with RemoteController on same net/box.)
Another minor issue:
In OpenWebif - Settings - A/V Settings are completely different from the ones in OpenPLi.
Even the ones related like "TV System" show different values than set in OpenPLI: PAL in OpenWebif, Multi in OpenPLi
