MultiEPG is a fantastic enhancement. To click on a programname in the MultiEPG screen gets an info screen what's the program is about. Could it be fantastic option to put an add timer possibility in that small window? Like the alarm clock in the normal EPG list? I have already added this request at github. Thanks.

Homey really did a great job with the mobile functions. Hope he will decide to do something again for this wide respected web interface!

Hey!

I am still around here somewhere. And yeah still using OpenWebif! It's right that I've lost interest after I had so much fun with the project, primary because I got a new fulltime job as webdesigner/softwaere developer for a big company with 4 letters everyone probably already used for shopping ;) and secondly I got a lot of bad bashing mails from here because I am a "bad guy from the dark side".

But if you need help somewhere, just let me know. The new MultiEPG looks great and yeah it's too small! I've already updated some stuff here to get full screen support for my 1920px monitor, but I have no clue if everyone would like it, it also has some benefits to have a fixed small width. So the question is, do we really want to have the full webinterface on dynamic width like I have done it for me? Or do we only want the MultiEPG to be larger? Some time ago I was a big fan of fixed widths ... but as soon you have a 27" Full HD Monitor ... everything looks so small !

I have an updated CSS file for a dynamic webif width, but it's not perfect yet and needs some more finetuning and fixes for the CURRENT epg toolbar, it has some hardcoded CSS Stuff that needs to get improved and fixed and probably some other layout changes need to be made on other screens to make it look nice, even on wide screen

BTW: Didnt even know someone is missing me here, I thoght you are happy about that after all those "nice" feedback mails from here, but well ... who cares!! :P

If you need help, just tell me what needs to be done! I prefer getting stuff to do on a list and then just do it ;)

Uhm this is a strange story.

Me skaman and you that was working to OpenWebif are all not Pli member guys. We are coders of other teams.
It seems to me that we are all respected and appreciated.
Who emailed you ? maybe it is better to clarify because your contribute is precious.

it's no question at all ;)
wide screen monitors/laptops are becoming (became?) standard nowadays, this fixed width was (IMHO) just an unnecessary waste of space...
just replaced style.css and now (for me) it looks muuuch better, thanks

Indeed: using the style.css is already much better.
I think using a dynamic width would be nice.

forget about it, like said, it was not even the primary reason. That's simply because I have a new fulltime job now which keeps me busy with coding 50 hours per week, if I come back home ... I dont always want to continue coding at home. Still need some time for sex, drugs and rock'n'roll :P

well, if you really like that widescreen support, I can spend some more time with it and finish it for you. I've just done some quick changes here and there, but it needs some more CSS changes and probably a few template fixes here and there, I will post it here so someone can review and commit it if it fits your needs ;)

BTW:

To click on a programname in the MultiEPG screen gets an info screen what's the program is about.

Yeah, program info would be nice. But I would prefer a mouse-hover effect for the Program titles where a little overlay bubble popup shows up and shos me details about that movie, like title, length, short description, genre ect. Shouldn't be a big deal I think. I could do it too, but if someone else is already working on it ... then hurry up :P

I have a feature request for the multiepg, is het posible that the channel names are always visable.
Because if you scroll down now and then sideway you donᷰt know wich channel it is.

TheMystery, that is exactly were I was thinking about.
Glad to see Bart's daddy here again ;)

Maybe something with add timer functions in the mobile version. Bouquets - channels - (choose a channel) - upcoming events.

Possibility to record radio channels without EPG. The most radio channels doesn't have an EPG function, in that case there is no recording possible. In Openwebif go to timers at the left menu - add timer - channel: only tv channels are in this listing.

Thanks a lot

ok, speaking of multiepg layout...
my idea is as follows (see the picture):
- all in inside a red frame - fixed vertically (always visible at the top)
- bouquets and services independently horizontaly scrollable (eg bouquets with R/L side arrows and 'services' with scrollbar, or maybe both with arrows/?/)
//I know, easier said than done, but for professional... ;)
thanks in advance

btw. everyone has only descriptions for random /?/ events in openwebif multiepg or it's just me?

@Homey: great to see you back again. I emailed you a long time ago. But it was no hate mail ;)

I use a program from dvblogic on my server to UPNP stream all live tv (dvblink for dreambox)
Its working great only problem is it doesnt work with openwebif. Only the dreambox webif works ok.
And I really want to use openwebif instead of dreambox webif.
There must be something not ok with the openwebif info in the .m3u file.
Would be great if you can fix it, perhaps more external programs start to work ok.

And we have the long standing wish to add support for fancontrol2. The web-if of fancontrol2 does work when web-if-old has been installed, but not when the open-web-if is being used.

Hi all,

my first post here :)

I'm going to commit the changes and progress I've made so far today.
That includes updates to the programme info layer: interface to add a timer, stream programme, zap.
Also some speedup in loading the EPG view - unfortunately the reason why it is so slow seem to be
the template engine. I've re-implemented the view in plain python.

I have a feature request for the multiepg, is het posible that the channel names are always visable.
Because if you scroll down now and then sideway you donᷰt know wich channel it is.

Yeah, I've had one unsuccessful attempt to add this feature, but I will further try to implement
it. Mainly because I also want it that way :D
