Also thanks for reporting the issue here... Unless it took a while before we were convinced. Usually when I use this I selected another perfered subtitle and therefore never discovered it.

In my experience are developpers very stubborn and most of the time not easy to convince.
But if you convinced them a couple of times future issues will be taken more seriously

That's certainly true

But the most important thing is lack of time.
It's one thing to convince us something is wrong, but yet another to convince us something should not be put at the back of the todo list, like every other feature request or bug report

no, I meant point taken, as in, I stand corrected, you were right it's just hard to convince a developer

But more seriously, I really don't like the huge evergrowing list of e2 settings, so I'm not easily convinced to add yet another setting for something which works intuitively as it is, in my opinion.

I agree too: This settings should only be added to existing tuxtxt2.conf file.
