When the "nightly builds" is marked red a text says "Errors have been reported for this box, please see the nightly issues thread: NL / EN / DE" with links to a forum thread "traffic light status" where, I guess, the errors should be listed... the latest post is from mid september regarding download servers, which I don't think the "nightly builds" redmark refer to this time?

Have you just forgot to update the "traffic light" thread maybe?

Will it be possible to download older images like it was at the old site?

Will the nighly builds at some point become stable "release" versions, or is it constantly under development/beta state??

As for this time, when it seems to be something wrong with the latest "nightly build", it would have been nice to be able to download an earlier "stable" release...

regards, M

see the news item about the new dmm bootloader on the front page:

http://openpli.org/

a bootloader update seems to be giving all kinds of trouble.
So update the bootloader and reflash.
Makes no sense to stick to an older version, you'll have to update eventually.

So it's not that the image is not stable, just a warning that an online update might give problems.

Thanks for your answer.
However, the link tells me to read the thread "traffic light"... the bootloader info on first page was not there until today...

A couple of weeks ago, I had to revert back to an "old stable" version when the nightly build didn't work with my eSATA HDD.
So for me it doesn't seem that newer versions are better...

The nightly builds are exactly that. So it can be that a change of that day introduces a bug when the new beta's are compiled at night. Usually, these issues are found quickly and fixed.

I you don't feel comfortable living on the bleeding edge, make sure you follow the forums carefully before updating.
Not everything is so critical that we will issue a warning for it, but it could be a showstopper for you.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
