i want to flash the box with the pli2.1 dated 18/10/11 but i think i have to flash box first with the secon stage loader file . is this correct ? if so , once ive flashed box with secondstage file do i have to switch box off with the switch at the back and then switch on again whilst holding the on/off button on the front ( as if i was re-flashing again) ? or can i just flash the 18/10/11 image over the top of the secondstage file ? thanks

I think the the safest way is to flash the DM500HD SSL.nfi over the current image, restart, then flash the new image.
