Hi all,

Long time ago I used the web-x-tv of the openpli 1.0 without problems. I remember that (on windows) had to be installed the vlc 0.8.6b to works ok the web-x-tv. At this time, this version of vlc have a lot of bugs (but works), and I would like to know if it's possible to install anothers recents versions of vlc compatible with web-x-tv.
Or some application to help to do streaming to view the tv on the pc now, both windows and Linux ??

I have tried some recent versions of vlc, and streaming crashes all the time.

I use a recent VLC (1.1.9) and that one works okay here.

I think that most of us here use a more recent OpenPli version, if that is available or your box. Check here: http://openpli.org/download/dm600pvr/

The OpenPLi version has indeed some VLC fixes, but I can't remember if they were for Web-x tv or the movieplayer.

VLC 1.1.11 and last OpenPLi with movieplayer works well on dm500 and dm7020 too. How version of VLC and movieplayer you using ?

vlc fronted I'm using 1.3.0. or 1.8.0 and vlc 0.8.6 for PC use. it only works stably without spilling pictures on the previous image, I'll try to put new as you advise, thank you, as a result put write. )

You are OK. I have updated to the latest OpenPli version (todays version), I have updated to the latest version of VLC (1.1.11) and Web-x-tv, works perfect.
