With new builds I cant get WinTV Nova-T tuner to work anymore. Tried with today's and 2011/11/11 image. After installing drivers and reboot Vu+ UNO does not recognize usb tuner.
Dvb-t tuner works fine updateing old image, but I want to start clean.

Nova-T is working fine here on a ET box.. I hope that it is not related to the new DMM drivers

I have problems with Vu+ UNO. And with fresh install. Something is changed with drivers. Maybe problem is that Vu+ and DMM are using old 2.6.18 kernel and ET uses 3.1 kernel.
In my DM800 usb tuner is working fine, but I have only updating it, not installing from scratch.

but what is the reason?
Are drivers not installed anymore?
Or are they not automatically loaded?
Or do they fail to load? (dmesg, missing symbols)
Or are the drivers complaining about missing firmware?
Or does all load fine, but /dev/dvb/adapter1 is not created?
Or /dev/dvb/adapter1 is created, but it contains no frontend0?
Or is everything there, but no vtuner device in /proc/bus/nim_sockets?
Or if you even have the device in nim_sockets, does e2 fail to see or use it?
etc
etc

I allready installed working backup image and can not test today (Family came home). But drivers were installed. Dmesg showed lots of missing symbols.

what does modules.dep (somewhere in /lib/modules/2.6.18) look like?
Is (for instance) the 7000p dependency indeed missing for dib0700?
And if you run 'depmod -a', does that fix the dependencies?

Still the same with todays build. Uninstalling and reinstalling drivers did not help.
In modules.dep is line

ok, that line is missing several deps.
Does depmod -a fix it?

This is after running depmod -a, so appearently no.

is kernel/drivers/media/dvb/frontends/dib7000p.ko, for instance, installed at all?
perhaps depmod cannot do it's job because drivers are missing

dvb-usb.ko is missing, other files are there. After placing it there and running depmod -a, that line in modules.dep
kernel/drivers/media/dvb/dvb-usb/dvb-usb-dib0700.ko: kernel/drivers/media/dvb/dvb-usb/dvb-usb.ko

weird, so that removes the dependency

kernel/drivers/media/common/tuners/mt2266.ko

from the modules.dep?

Something must be really wrong with depmod...

After installing drivers appears something like that

Fatal: module dvb-dibusb-dib0700 not found
Fatal: module dvb-dibusb-mb not found
Fatal: module dvb-dibusb-mc not found
Fatal: module dvb-dibusb-common not found

But this message was there earlier too, when usb tuner worked.

yes, modprobe runs inbetween installs. Has always been like that. Bug in opkg (and previously ipkg), not easy to solve.

How did you fix the problem? I can't see my WinTV-NOVA-T-Stick in OpenPli.
