Hi! I can't really make the Picons visible. Is it a known issue?
I have just upgraded today so I am running the latest version of pli 2.1 on a dm800

Tryed with:
- enigma2-plugin-picons-hd-black
- enigma2-plugin-picons-hd-transparent
- enigma2-plugin-picons-tv-east-013.0

(Some skins use their own picon rendering script, which are usually broken)

you are right it works now here also, i don't know what was the problem yesterday.
but i have seen if i make a screenshot from this screen with screenshot plugin by mogli
after that by pressing buttons yellow or blue comes nothing in the screen.

thanks for your work -> with update from today all is fixed now in pli-hd skin, only one error is nor ever here,
i have maked two pictures to this error one displayed the german screen and the second picture displayed the english screen to this problem;

have you also a solution for the problem in this link;

it's a problem with cutted entries on right side in foreca plugin with pli-hd skin.

About cutted Foreca - text is so much long... can be little moved columns. And use better word ?

About your screenshots - never saw this menu on my dm800se, but i hope, littlesat can do it.

I suspect it's from EMC /?/ plugin...

problem is only, that for this screen is added eLabel with title name and title is presented too, or there in plugin is set text into title again. But i dont know name.

About Foreca - it must be made in plugin, not in skin. Or use better word in translating with less chars. Same is "Niederschlagsradar video" in Satelliten Bilder.
BTW - Foreca plugin likes not selectionPixmap="PLi-HD/buttons/sel.png" there in Satelliten Bilder too - strange rectangle under selected text.

Edit: Strings over ... I think, it will be, as noticed blzr ...

The texts in the last column in the main screen of Foreca are not translated, they come directly from the website itself. The only way to deal with this, is to drop the PIG from that screen, which will free up sufficient space. That is how it was done in the Magic-HD skin as well.

The text "Niederschlagsradar video" is in fact a translation, and therefore can be solved by using a different translation. For that no change to the Python code is required, just to the German locale file Foreca.po which you can find in the Github. Just download it, and change to your hearts desire, and make a patch file. Then you can ask the Pli team to put it in again.

The Pixmap you mention is not part of the plugin code. That is in the skin, and must be solved there.

It could be done in python code but that way every single language that is pulled from foreca website output has to be replaced with something smaller.

As bag58 stated, remove the PIG or make it a lot smaller and all the textt fits fine again!

In addition to what theparasol said in his last post:
If the texts taken from the website were to be "translated" into shorter texts with the same meaning, you would need to know all the possible texts that can be found on the website in all implemented languages. Also the Foreco.po files, which now always translate from English to the chosen language would have to contain not only English source texts, but all possible texts that are too long in the chosen language itself. That means that not only the translated side would be different for each of the languages, but also the source side would be different for those texts.

As theparasol said, in principle it can be done, but it would be a hell of a job. Just making sure the space available is large enough however, is an extremely simple job.

This is one pixmap or parts ? Could be used TemplatedMultiContent for it, if it are parts ? Then would be possible change colum's size and positions in skin.

The lines in the table on the list screen are built using MultiContentEntryText. The picture in them is added using MultiContentEntryPixmapAlphaTest. And in fact I already moved the columns to the left some and narrowed them a bit to make more space available for the text in the last column. Perhaps a little more space can be made available, but we are talking about 10 points or so, which would still be far off from being sufficient to handle all possible texts in all supported languages. The way to go there is definitely removing the PIG from that screen if in your language the texts in the last column are too long too often.

On the submenu screens there simply is a limit to the length of the menu texts. If all translations stay within these limits, there is no problem. I presume the example for the German language does not stay within the limit. Putting a shorter text in the German Foreca.po file will solve clipping off the text in that submenu. The selection pixmap indeed lead to an extra bar below the menutext currently selected. However I do not know how to solve that. I have tried, but could not find the solution. It already existed in the original German 1.6 version of the plugin.

yes i have installed EMC-3.0.0 for play records and when i marked in EMC a record and then i press the menu button
it comes this screen that i have postet with this curious textual that i can not read.

So is it due EMC that you have double texts on the left top at the movieplayer context menu.... Then it is not a skin fault - but EMC (not required with PLi) fault...

For the text lengths you indicate I agree. These can be made somewhat longer. The same is true of the length of the texts for lines 2 and 3 in the last column of the main screen. I will do that in an upcoming version, together with a few other fixes.

For the part on the selection bar, if I understand you correctly, you are saying that to solve that the whole way of presenting the information must be altered by defining the display template in the skin. My problem is that I simply do not (yet?) know enough about Python programming and the (im)possibilities of E2 that I can get that done.

I suggested it earlier: total rewrite of foreca, just keep the engine to extract the data from foreca website.

On first screen just present say 3 days with just temp on eg 12:00 and a cloud or sun or rain, if users selects that day and clicks ok the details of that day is shown.

Then please find the screen and remove the title in the skin.xml.... It is something in EMC that rights that header double what does not happen in the normal standard movieplayer. There is a chance that EMC needs to be modified to fix this - or we need some help from Milo to find why when using templates we have this translation issue...

I do not install EMC here to debug it myself because EMC leaves stuff into the python code after removal... And in addition EMC is not required for a PLi image -as- al functionality is already there in standard PLi...
