Hi,

Press space bar and go into the setup menu and configure your tuner/DiseqC settings, and if you can for a quicker startup install an existing Enigma2 channel list settings.

Do your card work with other programs (like Kaffeine)?
Is the card recognized by Ubuntu (in dmesg output)?
I googled a little bit. It seems that you need either v4l-dvb-dkms or s2-liplianin-dkms driver.

Hi,

As stated you need to go into the Setup and configure it according to your setup.

Space bar - use arrow - choose: Setup - press Enter
Service Searching- Enter
Tuner Configuration - Enter
Tuner A - Vtuner - Enter

And there use left/right up/down arrow to select and change the different values to reflect your setup.

Your screenshot shows that DiseqC setting is not correct (because you have an error) so it is normal that you get Tuned Failed on screen.

Hi,

I have merged new xine-lib version 1.2.1 into new branch xine_1_2_1. With opengl and xshm driver I have no problems. Can anybody with nvidia card please test whether vdpau driver also works?
There were several patches for vdpau driver.
E.g.

vdpau: Consider displayed window coordinates when scaling osd overlay objects

Fixed overlay surface reuse issue for raw rgba overlays within vdpau output driver.
For details see http://projects.vdr-...t/xine-lib.git/

Hi,

I have just done a quick test of the vdpau mode with the new xine_1_2_1 branch and it seems to work.
Of course I still have random unscrambling of crypted channels in vdpau mode but that's another story, I guess that other people using vdpau have the same problem.

Hi,

Not all NVidia cards are vdpau compliant, please check that your Nvidia card is vdpau compliant.
The test for vdpau doesn't take this into consideration and assume that all Nvidia card are vdpau compliant which is not true. Old ones are not.

Otherwhise change the /usr/local/e2/share/enigma2/xine.conf

Parameter video.driver and test either opengl or xshm

You have 2 frontends and with 1 of them there's a problem. Here(only with vtuner) it looks like this:
$ ls -al /dev/dvb/adapter0/
insgesamt 0
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 100 2012-02-28 18:47 .
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 60 2012-02-28 18:46 ..

crw-rw-rw-+ 1 root video 212, 2 2012-02-28 18:47 frontend0
Is output "detected terrestrial frontend" correct that you have attached a DVB-T card/stick? Can you pull it out of usb-port or deactivate it?
Does E2 work afterwards?

And please check nim_sockets file. Add a second entry when using vtuner and DVB-T Card/stick.

Hi,

You simply need to edit /usr/local/e2/etc/tuxbox/nim_sockets to reflect your setup:

Exemple

NIM Socket 0:
 Type: DVB-T
 Name: Hauppage-DVB-T
 Has_Outputs: no
 Frontend_Device: 0

NIM Socket 0:
Type:DVB-S2 (or DVB-S if your card is not DVB-S2 compiant)
Name:Hauppage-DVB-S
Has_Outputs: no
Frontend_Device: 1

Hi,

You simply need to edit /usr/local/e2/etc/tuxbox/nim_sockets to reflect your setup:

Exemple

NIM Socket 0:
 Type: DVB-T
 Name: Hauppage-DVB-T
 Has_Outputs: no
 Frontend_Device: 0

NIM Socket 0:
Type:DVB-S2 (or DVB-S if your card is not DVB-S2 compiant)
Name:Hauppage-DVB-S
Has_Outputs: no
Frontend_Device: 1

Pr2

Hi,

If you have tunning problems on ubuntu 11.10 using a DVB-S2 card then try drivers at: http://git.linuxtv.org/media_build.git

I have a S2-3200 (but it's the same for any dvb card with stb0899 as skystart HD2 and others) and the default driver
was finding only 450 channels on hotbird+astra (13E+19E) and a lot of tune failed. With the media_build drivers, i find more than 3400 channels
on hotbird+astra (13E+19E) which is more correct.

I had to apply myself a patch to correct the SNR signal as it was always showing 0.
The channel switching is way slow (7-8 seconds switching on different transponders, 5 on the same) nothing to do with that.
Probably i need a new dvb-s2 card to improve that.

Bye
attaros
