Are any other devs besides you working on the openplipc code?

Do you have the same problems when you are using master branch?
It seems that you are not using default skin. Please try with default skin.

The problem is that I don't know which operation is not permitted: "FATAL: failed: Operation not permitted"

I think that you're using the new parameters in the settings file (config.pc.initial_window_width and ... height). Please comment them out or delete them.

The problem is that this is a new pc and the master branch never compiled right.
the error logs you see are with a bran new installation of enigma2, no config or settings modified.
Note that it detects 1920x1080 although I have not specified it in the settings file.
Also the skin is the default one as I never get a chance to change anything.

Perhaps if I could start it with the PLi-HD skin I would by-pass the green screen

Can somebody point out the file and line to modify to achieve this?

Hi casacristo,

you're using another skin. I see 2 lines in your log:
setResolution 720 576
setResolution 1280 720

This is not normal. With default skin you should see this:
setResolution 720 576
setResolution 720 576

Please rename or delete /usr/local/e2 directory.

Hi,

you don't need the osd branch any longer.
Nevertheless you can change the branch using "git checkout osd" (and back with "git checkout master"). With "git branch" you can see which branch you are currently using (it's the one with the star).

Hi Kerven,

please do the following:

change to openpliPC directory

run build_openpwebif.sh script (if you aren't using /usr/local/e2 directory please adjust INSTALL_E2PDIR in the script)

run e2bin or enigma2 binary

please don't stop E2 and open webbrowser and goto http://localhost
I can see the webinterface in the webbrowser. Perhaps not everything (e.g. streaming) works. I haven't tested it yet.

Yes, building should work. But if you have build a newer xine-lib before, then (I think!) always the newer lib is used. You can see in log which xine-lib version is used. To avoid this you'll have to delete the newer xine-lib version (libxine* files in /usr/lib and /usr/lib/xine/plugins/ directories).

cccam under /var/bin and simply edit your enigma2.sh script to add a line such as /var/bin/cccam before the enigma2 line.
you will also need to modprobe the dvbsofwareca module (so have another line before /var/bin/CCcam that reads:
modprobe dvbsoftwareca
if that fails then insmod /path_to_dvbsoftwareca/dvbsoftwareca.ko

How can I add cccam or oscam softcams in openpli enigma2pc? and where can i add these files? thanks all reply

In addition you'll have to build the kernel module manually first.
cd enigma2/dvbsoftwareca
make

I think you need a udev rule for that. Try to find something in the internet. Haven't done that before. So I can't help.

The others can prove me wrong. I think it's currently not possible to install ipk packages automatically. It should be possible to extract the files with ar. But it could be that they nevertheless don't work because openpliPC is using a different directory structure, CPU,.... At best source code is available, so that it is possible to adjust things.

Hi all,

I have TBS6984 quad dvb-s2 tuner and I'm trying configure nim_sockets for using only tuner2. I readed some old posts and configured nim_sockets file but only first dvb-s2 tuner is working. May I ask someone for help? Thank you.

There is list of dvb devices:

$ ls /dev/dvb/

And my nim_sockets

Hi,

do I understand you right, that you only want to use tuner2 and not 2 tuners?

If you want to use 2 tuners then you'll have to add a second entry. Something like this:

NIM Socket 0:
  Type: DVB-S2
  Name: T1
  Has_Outputs: no
  Frontend_Device: 0

NIM Socket 0:
  Type:DVB-S2
  Name: T2
  Has_Outputs: no
  Frontend_Device: 1

If you only want to use tuner2, I currently don't know a solution. Did you try this:
NIM Socket 1:
	    Type: DVB-S2
	    Name: TUNER1
	    Has_Outputs: no
	    Frontend_Device: 1
