Hi all :)

@betacentauri
Thanks for the great job, Enigma works, but the first run is very long (~25-30 sec)
Do not run in the Fullscreen mode, from master-branch rewritre files gxlibdc.cpp and gxlibdc.h and then is good launch the Fullscreen mode
TV shows as well (FTA and encrypted channels) , but you can not view in Menu the Mediaplayer and Dvdplayer, probably until well conceived.
If changed the skin and then reboot enigma2, then starts skin PLi-HD, strangely. In master-branch have not this problem.
It would be great to do with no problems watching movies (view old recodings do not works, new - i have not tried) and choice of audio tracks, as well as timeshift

@all with vdpau driver and view encrypted channels

Copy file enigma2/data/black.mvi in /usr/local/e2/etc/tuxbox and rewrite file logo.mvi

cp enigma2/data/black.mvi /usr/local/e2/etc/tuxbox/logo.mvi
and enjoy :)
For me more have't black screen more than a week!!!

On my dreambox 800 whit openpli the have remove the dvd player from the menu, for playing videos and iso files on it you now have to push the video bottom and select the file you like to watch.
Dm 800 hd (no clone;) and openpli ) dm 7000 openpli, db7020 openpli, Ubuntu 12.04 x64 openpli,Wave torodial T90 dish, diseqc 10/1... 5W, 1W, 05E, 7E, 13E, 16E, 19,2E, 21E, 28E

Hi Raider05,

I had some problems with watching some channels. I couldn't watch them and channel name was DVBService (or it took several seconds until it was shown). A solution was to switch to these channels and stop E2. After new start channel worked and switching to this channel was quicker. I think it has something to do with a change in lamedb.

Do you use the config parameter for full screen? Or the F11 button? The button works here.

To DVDPlayer and Mediaplayer: I haven't flashed the latest openpli on my STB. But I have read a diskussion, that the entries in main menu were deleted. I just searched but didn't find the original threads. But here are 2 discussions:
http://openpli.org/f...1659-dvdplayer/
http://openpli.org/f...r-entry-dm8000/
To watch recordings you can use V button. To get back you'll have to use T button.

"If changed the skin and then reboot enigma2, then starts skin PLi-HD, strangely." What do you mean with strangely? I only saw that the small video window in the menu is not shown properly.

Switching audio channels works. I have tested it. The problems with the recordings is on my todo list. And I didn't test timeshift, but it could be a bigger problem to get it working (this is also on my todo list and the actual reason why I have started to get openpliPC running on my system).

Same situation with "Frontend_Device: 0" or numbered by tuner. I have not any other ideas to get work.

Me too. Hope that someone else can help.

Does the card work with other software(kaffeine, vdr,...)?

Sorry for delay, but I waited for new posts assigment :)
Yes, all tuners works okay in vlc or in tools szap, scan-s2.

Do you have any ideas why is not working? At the moment I'm waiting for quad DVB-T/T2 card TBS6284. I will check if this card will be same behaviour.

Not yet. Perhaps you can try to use the new branch openpli_merge. There were some changes regarding frontend/tuner recognition. Warning: Perhaps E2 freezes. But you can kill it without problems.

Hi,

Please check your /dev/dvb subfolder.
/dev/dvb/adapter#A/frontend#F

The value #A is the Nim Socket #A: (so yes you can have severals Nim Socket 0: for exemple).
And the #F is the Frontend_Device #F value.

So it sounds strange to me that your DVB-T tuner is Nim Socket 1: Frontend_Device: 1
Most of the time you should also have a Nim Socket 1: Frontend_Device: 0 before the Frontend_Device: 1

Please use at first master branch and setup your system. If that works you can switch to the other branch.
As said before, the new branch is very unstable in case of tuner isn't working or setup errors.

Ok, I didn't test the config parameter. I'll try to fix it. I also had some problems with F11 button but the last times I have tested it, it was working properly. Perhaps you have to press the button twice because you use the config parameter. System is after start "thinking" that it uses fullscreen (but in realitiy doesn't use it) and the first press turns off fullscreen and the second turns it on.

"If changed the skin and then reboot enigma2, then starts skin PLi-HD, strangely." What do you mean with strangely? I only saw that the small video window in the menu is not shown properly.

Ah, you have a problem with skin selektor. Thanks for the code. I'll look at it and change it in git.

I only tested recordings. For mkv, avi could be the same problems. Is spinner visible and E2 unusable?

Hi,

Can some of you run the attached file on their system and check if the nim informations detected by the program are correct?
This is still an early stage developement and today debugging information are displayed and file is not yet created. So please check the result on screen.

If you think that the output is not correct please cut and paste the full result here.

Program is searching for 4 /dev/dvb/adaptorX with 4 frontend for each, please let me also know if this seems enough to you or not.

Thanks,

You need to compile it.

gcc create_nim_sockets.c -o create_nim_sockets

Hi Pr2,

I think it's a really good idea, because many people (including me) don't really know howto create the file!!
Thanks!

Output seems correct to me.

I have started it at first without running vtuner client. The program didn't "say" a word. It would be nice when you add
a comment that nothing was found and that the user should check drivers.

Can you please arrange this to have it by default in the repository?

Hi Pr2,

strange that this solves the problem...
Shouldn't be a problem to include it in the build_openpliPC.sh.

I have added the copy command to build_openpliPC.sh script. The change is available in master and openpli_merge branch.

Hi,

Yes it is foreseen to improve it and inform user that no DVB device has been found, but as of now it is rather a PoC to check if tuner detection is working fine.

I would like to get some feedback from user to know if it is properly detecting there internal DVB card, since with vtuner I already test all possible type.
And would also be nice to have the output of a DVB-T2 and DVB-C2 card if anybody already have it in his PCs.

Hi Raider05,

thanks for the patch. I have changed it in git.

I have also problems playing mkv file. Will investigate that in the next days.

And I have a patch for problem with playing recordings. But with the patch switching audio channels don't work . So I haven't pushlished the patch yet.

Yes, i have in the config parameter Fullscreen=true

config.pc.default_fullscreen=true
F11 is works, but at start enigma2 need pressed twice to get fullscreen

Yes, it's had in mind and even when watching movies and videos(mkv, avi, ...).
Now i have the crash at videos and movies. Is all or just me?

Regards, Raider05

Hi all,

both problems (not properly working fullscreen and watching videos, movies(not for recordings)) should be solved.
New version is in git.
