Now I run /usr/local/e2/e2pc.sh and start enigma2 and show an image but close and start again!

I can not answer for several days.
Without /dev/dvb/frontend0 the dvb receive will not work. Mediaplayer and iptv only.

open terminal 

go to your directory :     /enigma2pc-6.2/dvbsoftwareca/

and type : sudo insmod dvbsotwareca.ko 

 

and check if ca0 if it is present with this command :

 ls -l  /dev/dvb/*

Attention. Don't update pulseaudio to version 12.2 in Ubuntu-18.04!
For me pulseaudio-desktop doesn't start by autostart. If you start manually, there is no sound in the Enigma2.

I installed Ubuntu 16.04 and e2pc is successfully installed!

 

but e2pc detect just  adapter 0 frontend 0 (TurboSight TBS 5520SE DVB-T/T2/C/C2/ISDB-T)

 

and doesn't show adapter 0 frontend 1 (TurboSight TBS 5520SE DVB-S/S2/S2X)! actually satellite tuner ( DVB-S/S2/S2X) is not detected!

 

I just need the satellite tuner( DVB-S/S2/S2X) and DVB-T/T2/C/C2/ISDB-T is not important!

 

please help me!

The script is written so that it does almost everything itself! You can't break a sequence because the script is an algorithm expressed in a file.
I think about making a hdd image, but then it will not be free. Why? Because newbees don't want to study for free.

I reinstalling Ubuntu again and again because of following reasons:

 

1- e2pc didn't install in Ubuntu 14.04 because of confliction beetween gcc4.8 and gcc6 or g++4.8 and g++-6 and your script can't export g++-6 successfully and you can't solve this error in your scripts and finally you proposed me to install Ubuntu 18.04!

 

2- e2pc installed in Ubuntu 18.04  successfully but didn't run and frequently was up and down! and you can't solve this error or maybe you haven't enough ability!!!!???

 

3- finally I installed e2pc in Ubuntu 18.04  successfully without any error and without your help and tips!

 

we conclude that I understand what I am  doing but you don't understand what wrote in scripts!!! and it's understandable because Raider05, Cougar, nobody9 and betacentauri created this projects and ported  Enigma2 to Enigma2PC.

 

The script is written so that it does almost everything itself! You can't break a sequence because the script is an algorithm expressed in a file.

 

 

I didn't break any sequence and i run all scripts Respectively and continuously and after any run, I read logs!

why do you send this? for editing? my card is multi-standard external TV tuner and I said that tbs card driver installed successfully and dmesg command confirm this but e2pc doesn't detect frontend 1 (TurboSight TBS 5520SE DVB-S/S2/S2X).

tvheadend  detects both frontends and shows that tbs card driver is successfully installed! it is concluded that e2pc can't detect both frontends together and just detects frontend0!

thanks a lot for your new tips in 4_build_openpliPC.sh but I saw this tips in Raider05 github page before! and the problem was not solved by setting NIM Sockets!

 

I send a massage to tbs supporter and he give me a driver so that just DVB-S2 tuner is recognized  by Enigma2pc!

If it is a special driver for DVB-S2 only, then e2pc nim_sockets should be look like this:

In the previous post it was obvious that you have DVB-S2 as frontend1. Then when using a standard driver it would look like this:

      Frontend_Device: 0

In this case, when setting up DVB-S2 converter, select the second item.

In the latest version of the script I made automatic creation nim_sockets for one or multi frontends dvb card and modified create_nim_sockets.c.
Also in the file README.EN described the case of multi frontend dvb cards. I have a multi card HVR-4000 and it works on a standard driver as the only one card in the system. The method described in  README.EN makes it possible to resolve the problem of plugins access to frontend1 when frontend0 is DVB-S2. But if frontend0 is DVB-T2 then don't do anything at all.

 

.ipk files are  specific for receivers only, and most will not work after unpacking on PC. Here, the version of enigma2 is considered to create new plug-ins on a computer and other tests, since compilation takes place an order of magnitude faster. Viewing channels here is not a competitor to programs such as VDR, for example. Therefore, there are still a lot of shortcomings and the problems.

Another tip is not to forget that every time after installing a new kernel, need to rebuild, install and activate (depmod -a) of the dvbsoftwareca.ko module.

<- rebuild, install and activate dvbsoftwareca.ko only by script because two kernel headers will be rewritten.

You need to check manually and delete all files belonging to libxine2.
