More of a query, did a search but couldn't find anything but I've noticed that some subtitles get displayed wrong so 2 words get displayed as 1, so for example the words might be 'Even if' but they get displayed as 'Evenif'.

Nothing major but am wondering if people are aware and if it's likely to be fixed:

dvb subtitles or teletext subtitles?
Or do you mean with media files? (with srt files for instance)

If you mean dvb subtitles, these are bitmaps, so the error is on the provider side.
If you mean teletext subtitles, please start tuxtxt, activate the subtitle page, and check whether the problem is there as well.
If it is, the error is on the provider side.

I've seen this too on teletext subtitles, a lot on Sky UK channels. Never checked if it's a problem of the provider (using the real teletext page to compare), or if the problem is in enigma2/openpli code. It never bothered me much though. Although there can be confusion sometimes..

Yes it is on Sky UK with teletext subtitles.

@pieterg do you mean activate teletext on the TV or something else?

Just realised that you probably mean actviate teletext on the box itself, I'll do this but it's difficult as this then gets rid of the other subtitles but I'll give it a go.

I also think that it only happens with certain words. almost like a sequence but I'll report back.

if you make a recording, you can simply wind back to the position where the problem occurs, and compare with tuxtxt.

Ahh OK, I'll give that a go as I've got PTS enabled.

I've checked on a single channel and it does look like the errors are there with the teletext subs.
