Hey guys, your automatic language / subtitle settings are pretty near perfect, but I would like to see an option to choose teletext subtitles as the first choice, now it tries to pick dvb subtitles even if they are not chosen and disregards available (finnish) teletext subtitles.

And this results me "having to" manually choose (finnish) teletext subtitles on multiple channels from Viasat 4.8e & Canal Digital 1w packages.
And naturally, I am not the only one being affected by this.

Any way to improve this?

That is already available by setting the prefer graphical DVB subtitles to off..

However in case a provider does not send languages with the PTM then the autoselection cannot work and then you're still must store the stuff channel by channel.... Then also you have to select prefer subtitle per channel to on...

It's the fourth option from the bottom of the second screendump.... You want the opposit of prefer DVB graphical subtitles...

First of all, I would like to thank for looking into this.
Both Raitsa and I have chatted in IRC about this problem.

DVB is STILL picked up as default on all channels from Canal Digital Scandinavia and Viasat package, so there must be some mistake somewhere.
I see that, if I press Audio + Yellow buttons.

I dunno if provider does not send languages with the PTM.
Could anyone please check that ?

Is there a Teletext subtlte available in the subtitle setup marked as Danish?

have same problems here. Teletext subtlte is available in norwegian but still chosen subtitle is DVB 0.

furthermore, skin language is norwegian and in the choice for autolanguage it is written "Norsk" for norwegian language but in subtitle menu (subtitle button) the choice is named "Norwegian"

Does these teletext subtitles have "language" labels... do you have an example of a channel... please note in case the providers do not send the proper ISO codes for the languages they cannot be selected automatically....

I did a quick check.... I have the idea that at least Danish, Swedish is not found automatically... Are the iso codes correct?

I just checkt... the subtitles are not in the PMT list... therefore they cannot be selected automatically....

If teletext can be used, I have some examples for you to test :
On 0.8º West we have :
Canal + Action in teletext is 599
On 4.8º East :
TV1000 Drama in teletext is 692

Both gives danish subtitles.
If more lanuages is needed let me know.

I didnt understand the part with ISO codes ( dan, Danish, 318 )

littlesat, I appriciette very much that you try to help us out, cause this feature will make this image allmost perfect for Scandinavien people.

I allready tryed that.
Still it picks up DVB as first choice, and not danish, which I have set it to use.

I checked here with scandinavian channels... and select Swedish as the 2nd language and Dutch as the first language. I always get the teletekt subtitles on TV1000 channels (with black screens)... Also on the channels described above swedish was selected.... So I do not get the issue here... I only see txt subs on these channels and no DVB subs!!!??? So at least I cannot verify the reported issue you have....

He has set prefer DVB graphical subtitles to no, but still it picks up DVB.
Prefer subtitle stored by service is no.
