Hi all and Merry christmas!!!
Just a few day ago i found a problem with the USB DTT key with chipset AVerMedia A867.
While recording a crypt program i can't see any other crypt channel in the same frequency. The log of my softcam (oscam and cccam) show only the Cw of the recording program (during the channel switch the system don't ask the new CW to the card) and only if i stop the rec the system start asking the new channel CW.
is this a know bug?

This is not a problem related to the A867 driver. I reproduced it with the PCTV 290e, but I think it affects all DTT tuners.
Maybe it's a CAM issue? I'm running the latest CCcam 2.3.0, but I never noticed this bug with the old 2.2.1 version. But I rarely record/watch 2 encrypted (Nagra) channels on DTT, so probably I've never tested this scenario before your bug report.
Can you test other CAMs to make sure it's not a CCcam issue?

I suppose that some other layer (vtuner ??) is involved in this issue.
1) zap to a DTT encrypted channel -> CAM has noticed the change (/tmp/pmt*) and it run accordingly to new params
2) record this DTT channel: channel is "locked"
3) zap to another encrypted DTT channel (same transponder) -> CAM has NOT any notice about a new channel.
If this second channel is FTA, obviously you can watch it: CAM is not involved.
Which software in DTT tuner management take care to communicate to CAM ? The problem is there.

I agree Ambrosa,
I tried to reproduce the same problem with the sat tuners but everything works fine (I tested the Nagra-encoded Tivusat bouquet). So it must be something related to the DTT tuner management, as you suggested.
Next step is to test other images on the ET9000 and/or other decoders with OpenPli and try to reproduce the bug.

Hi all,
after several tests here is my 2 cents :
- the problem is not limited to the A867, i tried with other DVB key and the results is the same
During a recording if I change channels using the same transponder I get this error:
Jan 5 17:43:43 et9x00 user.notice ENIGMA2: [eDVBCAService] don't build/send the same CA PMT twice
and after some seconds
Jan 5 17:44:04 et9x00 user.notice ENIGMA2: timeout 0000!
Jan 5 17:44:04 et9x00 user.notice ENIGMA2: PATready
Jan 5 17:44:04 et9x00 user.notice ENIGMA2: DVB service failed to tune - error 2
I think this makes pmt file not be changed and then the second channel is not decoded. I receive the same error even between FTA channels but obviously i can see the video because i don't need any CW to decode.
hope this can help someone :-)

I'm not sure this is connected to the problem. The PMT is not changing anyway because the 2 channels are on the same multiplex. But we should check what this "error 2" means.
Anyway, the best way to verify if it's an Enigma2 bug is to reproduce the issue on other decoders running OpenPli (a Dreambox or a VU+). If you know someone with this decoders and a Mediaset card, ask them to help.

Oopps, sorry. The PAT is the same, but of course the PMT is different for every program (that is, for every channel).
So the problem is that the CA module receives the same PMT for 2 different channels....
Anyway, a test with other decoders (with OpenPli) would be helpful.

This problem is completely solved with the new ET drivers just released:

A big thanks to the ET driver developers for the quick fix.
