Hi I configure my dm500s, so that I can see the shares and all through moviestream file. Whenever I click to play an Avi. Nothing happens. I tried click yellow button after, then it's saying buffering and 0%. How
Can I play my movies from pc. I did follow all ur tutorials and did webif on vlc pc. Pls help

Do you use OpenPLi or PLi Jade on the Dreambox?
I use OpenPLi on my Dreambox (DM500 clone) and i have Windows 7 in my PC.
Any idea please?

VLC needs a "hosts" file (on your PC) before it accepts streams from the Dreambox.
If you search this forum for "hosts" you will find a description on how to do that.

I manage to do it but there are many freezes. What can i do for this?

there in vlc's http directory is file .hosts. There must be enabled IP of your box.

Yeah, i did it,but nothing's happen.The same story.I try with other version of VLC is the same.I use this version of Open pli OpenPLi-beta-dm500-old-framebuffer-20120206-242.zip. is it some possibilities to be of the version?How suppos to be the name of iso file that i put with FTP in the directory /tmp to make a manual upgrade?
