Make a file with the name backupstick.txt in the root of your mmc and try to run the option backup> usb

that won't do.. he needs to make a hdd/usb symlink and point at mmc1 (ideally hdd which will solve other path issues for him in one go)

I can add mmc support for example:

backupmmc.sh

And other needed changes in plugin.py ... but I can't test it, Did anybody actually test it?

@Hispanico

Did you try as I suggested?

Is the mmc mounted?

Do you see it if you give the telnet command

cut -d ' ' -f 2 /proc/mounts | grep '^/media/'

Pedro_Newbie the mmc is mounted and presented as /media/mmc

issue is there is no way to point the BackupSuite at it as it has predefined HDD/USB locations

so the easiest way is to create an alias for mmc and call it HDD than picons/backups/epg and other plugins/adds dumps stuff onto it as it stimply becomes "native" HDD

I can add mmc support for example:

backupmmc.sh

And other needed changes in plugin.py ... but I can't test it, Did anybody actually test it?

I can test in NY

The Backup to USB scans ALL the mounts mounted under /media for the presence of the file (or folder) backupstick.
So if a file or folder with the name backupstick is present in the root of the mmc then the backup can be made with the option Backup>USB

Please test this version for mmc support, Caution: this is experimental!

This ipk compiled for arm architecture.

And for the "key_text" skin support you can use https://github.com/p...gin/schermen.py but somebody need to fix this file and align the buttons ...

I can't test these kind of things so I need your help.

I did create "mmc" branch: https://github.com/p...tree/mmc/plugin which you can test and contribute so after the tests we could merge the changes into "master" branch and publish it :)

sorry for the delay (was busy with other things) but can confirm Pedro_Newbie is right

once Ive created backupstick file on the Zgemma H2S (AKA H3) on the /mnt/mmc1 and selected usb backup in backupsuite it picked up the mmc1 drive and put backup on it (20+git148+640cd37-r0.0)

Ive tried to install the 23+git257+742f9fa-r0 but got an error:

Not selecting enigma2-plugin-extensions-backupsuite 23+git257+742f9fa due to incompatible architecture.

Yeah as I said it was for arm architecture but you can extract it via 7-Zip and copy to your STB with a FTP program like FIleZilla ;)

Sorry for Zgemma H7 what to install??
Automatically downloading the image does not update anything and BackupSuite does not work

scusate per zgemma H7 cosa installare??
Eseguendo il download automatico dell'immagine non aggiorna nulla e backupsuite non funziona

to try to explain better what happens ....
I backup and the successful backup message arrives.
But if I go to see the contents of the fullbackup folder inside it I find only the kernel.bin file

per provare a spiegare meglio cosa succede....
eseguo il backup e arriva il messaggio backup eseguito con successo.
Però se vado a vedere il contenuto della cartella fullbackup al suo interno trovo solo il file kernel.bin

Make a backup and copy the BackupSuite.log from /tmp/
Also make a screenshot of the completed backup sequence
