Thank you very much for your help which is very nice of you.

Can i ask where i will find the 'plugin.py'?

I assume that once i locate it i need to open it and delete everything inside and copy/paste from the link

you have attached instead?

Also, where would i find the 'plugin.pyo' to remove?

Sorry to ask these questions but i want to make sure i get it right.

Thanks again..

All sorted! Thank you Persian Prince.

I guessed it would be in the Backupsuite plugin in extensions and after following

your instructions all is back to normal again.

Thank you for your help.

Is it possible to start the plugin by Telnet? --> for example, to start an USB backup directly about Telnet?

If so, how the code would be for the console?

Now it functions, I have determined the code myself

/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/BackupSuite/backuphdd.sh de_DE

/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/BackupSuite/backupusb.sh de_DE

Thanks ... Pumuckel

Hi

I made a backup on Zgemma H7S but got kernel1.bin and rootfs.tar.bz2.

It is not in the *.img format as it is supposed to be.

Guess what AXAS made a complete mess! Not just naming a 4K box as E4HD but even the image folder name is the same!

Do not use Backup Suite on E4HD Ultra as Backup Suite has entries for normal e4hd and e4hdhybrid with "e4hd" image folder.

A big thanks to AXAS for being genius and there will be no support for this STB in Backup Suite as long as they don't rename it!

Latest news is that is not going to happen. We tried, the answer was no.

So if you have a need for Backupsuite, don't buy an Axas E4HD Ultra 4K (or don't run OpenPLi on it).

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

I don't understand why should a company produce 2 completely different products (one with mipsel architecture and the other with arm) with a same name!

They don't.

The name you pick in in the BSP hasn't got any relation with anything. It is just a random name to uniquely identify the device. If you change it, you also need to change some other bits, like the driver filename if that has MACHINE in it. But even that can be worked around if you don't want to change that for fear something else breaks.

As I said, we tried, we explained, we failed.

You might contact Persian Prince as he maintains the Backupsuite since some months.

For zgemma h7 and h9 I just did some fixes so please replace your "backupsuite.sh" file (In Open PLi 6.2) with this one: https://raw.githubus.../backupsuite.sh

Let me know if it works :)

Oh you want to flash it like a normal image well you can't do that easily ;)

Flash backups via plugin itslef or download a fresh PLi image and replace with backup files so the image structure and all the needed files would be there then you will be able to flash it like a normal image ;)

Anyway I think I can add this feature for some models in future :)
