Hello Open PLi developers,

I am having two issues with my Xtrend box. I was wondering if you, developers, can include the following changes/fixes in the newest open PLi image for Xtrend ET9x00/6x00/5x00:

1. When you go to stand-by mode from Diseq 1.2 motor, the motor shuts off as well. Would it be possible to make the following change: to continue to carry out the existing commands- even after going to stand-by mode, the motor should move until the end.

2. While the motor is moving, when you press “scan ok” scan is entered while motor is moving --> The scan should be entered after the motor has finished moving.

As far as I know, these two issues have to do with the E2.
Please let me know if these fixes can be included in the newest open PLi image for Xtrend.
Thank you for your efforts and help.

Best Regards,
Sungwutang

One more issue: 3. The video reoslution display on the VFD should be able to be changed according to the user’s desired video resolution setting. (Currently, the display only shows one video resolution of the input signal)
Is it possible to make this change as well?
Please let me know.

Thanks

This is always be that way in Enigma2... To stop the monitor when going in standby when it is turning is very rare... And in addition the motor will not get "lost" or so... After a next tune to a transponder it will turn again. So no "big deal" I suggest.

Thank you for your reply and support littlesat.
What is your opinion on number 3? 3. The video reoslution display on the VFD should be able to be changed according to the user’s desired video resolution setting. (Currently, the display only shows one video resolution of the input signal)
I know that this is the usual way in E2. However I just want to know if there is anyway to make changes in the E2 so that:
-to continue to carry out the existing commands- even after going to stand-by mode, the motor should move until the end.
-The scan should be entered after the motor has finished moving.

Let me know littlesat.

The VFD is that text screen on the box itself that has a limited and constant unchangable resolution. I assume that's not what you mean. But I don't know what you do mean by VFD, and I also don't understand what you mean by the "user's desired video resolution" setting.

whether you change the video resolution in A/V settings or Video Wizard screen to 1080i, 576i, 576p or 480i, the VFD only shows 720p. However for example when you change the video resolution to 1080i, the VFD should also display 1080i instead of 720p. Is it possible to make this change in the newest open pli image for Xtrend? Let me know

Hi,

Videosize is displayed in VFD as it is natively broadcasted on Transponder. Not the upscaled resolution done by Xtrend STBs is shown. Drivers seems to use the native Videosize Resolution and display it in VFD.

is there any way to fix this issue with the VDF and video resolution? E.G. when i choose 1080p, the VFD should also display the chosen video resolution.

So you really meant the VFD. I was under the impression you wanted to change the resolution of the VFD itself, but you were talking about the information it displays. Then the answer is plain and simple:

You'll have to contact clarke-tech, they make the drivers that control that bit of the VFD. OpenPLi cannot help you there.

(I for one don't think it's not logical what you ask. It may be interesting to know what resolution the currently playing media is, but the resolution as displayed on screen will of course be the resolution you selected, so I don't see any added value there. You can always ask the TV or monitor what display mode it's currently using if you want to know, I haven't seen a flatscreen that doesn't display this on request.)
