No... The DM800HD dies not support DTS at all, even pass though is not possible. This due to a hardware/driver limitation.

Please note that the newer DM800SE can do this in passthrough mode and with a special driver from a unknown 3rd party source this one can also do downmix.

AVI is not something you can play. It's only a container format, it can contain virtually anything.

If you can play it's contents or not depends on the codec used to create the AVI. Only codecs available in hardware can be played on the box, it doesn't have the CPU power to use software codecs.

I'm not sure the DM800 and the DM800SE differ much in that area...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

BCM7405/7413 found in newer boxes like DM800SE can playback DIVX/XVID files
BCM7401 cannot.
