dvdplayer and dreamexplorer were deleted with todays online-update

You can REM 4 lines with # and add 2 new lines on begin of plugin.py file (DreamExplorer):

that's all

And if you want DVD Player still in main menu (as I like it), unpack and place this file into DVDPlayer.

mediaplayer is needed for playback from playlists ... when this options would be there in MoviePlayer ...

DVD player should be on the plugin list now... it is removed from the mainmenu... Usually you do not need it as you can play DVDs just from the standard movieplayer. I suggest we should do the same for the Mediaplayer...

Someone said that Mediaplayer have the same functionality as DVD Player but I don't agree with that. Before, I used DVD Player to play DVD .iso-s of some movies and it showed menus and buttons on that menus. Now, if you try to play DVD .iso with Media player you will not get any DVD menu buttons on screen - so for me it looks like step backwards. Correct me if I am wrong.

You means movieplayer - video button (same as for playback recorded movies) ? There works menu "standardly"

Thanks for reply.

I ment : when I start playback with Movie player and enter menu of DVD movie .iso file there you see options for language, choose scenes, extras but you don't see any clickable objects to choose (known as buttons) on screen.
It looks like I have to unpack .iso file as DVD folder. I never had that problems before.

Playback from movieplayer is same as from old DVD player. Diference is only, that missing DVD Player item there in menu. All from plugin was moved into Screens.DVD.
Problem with DVD menu is still. F.eg. on some my DVD menu is highlighted text moved bottom, left or is ot visibled etc ... So is difficult select true item. Some menu is displayed well on end of movie :-)))

But when I started the DVD-Player, it always asked if I want to play the DVD in my DVD-ROM. And now I have to navigate throught the filelist where my DVD-ROM is mounted. This is not really comfortable.

Make a "quicklink" to your DVD player...

But I always burn DVDs as DVDs and not as DVD-rom ????? Why should you???

With DVD-ROM I meant my DVD Player.
