Hello,
I'd like to read all text which is available on a single page on Teletext and save it to a text file.
Can anybody tell me how to do it?

Many thanks for any advice on this matter!

Not with standard enigma. Maybe copy and paste from the webinterface...

I have a program in C that reads the transport streams and converts teletext subtitles to srt subs. You might want to use that as a starting point to decode complete pages. Subtitles are also complete pages, but most of the page is tranparent.

No, but probably you can use that as well. It's something I wrote myself.

Yes it is I assume, BUT please note you will decapsulate at least one level of hamming coded bits... A simple ascii dump won't do!

Just like the rest of the source. Install the complete build environment en run "make image". How to do that is in the wiki.

Ok, I know how to get text from teletext page. It looks like that:

  `pp0`p0`0 pp ppp pp p `0ppp
`pp0`p0`0 pp ppp pp p `0ppp
  "k7!sj5 jw{5##jw{5+t>!##
"k7!sj5 jw{5##jw{5+t>!##
  j5 ssjupjws1 jws1~'o4
j5 ssjupjws1 jws1~'o4
  "! "#!"## ## # ## # "! #
"! "#!"## ## # ## # "! #
 CHANNEL 4 (SKY)

Racing 470 7#################5
Horoscopes 443 5 * * * * * * * 5
C4 Racing Sched'445 5 5
Chat Services 446 5 HEADLINES..470 5
TV Channels 457 5 5

Does anybody know is it possible to grab text without sequence of chars like "k7!sj5 jw{5##jw{5+t>!## ?

I have modified teletext plugin in Enigma (tuxtxt.c) and I need to debug this code while running on Dreambox. Would it be possible to give me some steps how to attach to gdb-server on Dreambox? In the perfect situation, I would like to connect from graphical IDE (e.g. Eclipse) and create breakpoints in the certain points of tuxtxt.c. I thank you in advance for your help.

If you have an openembedded image, gdbserver is either in the image, or in the feed.

here's how to use gdbserver:

If you're seeing any ASCII-text that means at least you have the dehamming and parity handling working.

A teletext page is composed of ~26 lines (packets) which are often sent interleaved with other magazine's pages, are you cathering for that?

If you have a complete teletext page (i.e. packets 0 - 26) you should be able to extract the text packets (i.e. 1-23) and leave the rest alone, they are mostly metadata, FLOF text etc.

kdevelop
But I don't often use an ide for development, only on devices where I don't have a decent console.
I find that nothing beats debug messages. Forces you to better look at your code and understand what it does ;)

I favour compiler warnings instead (for my own code).
