last few days I can see much above-average number of birthday boys (girls?) on the forum...
they are all were born between 1985 and 1989 and all registered on their birthday's eve :)
coincidence? I think not :P
//and the only problem with it for me is that because of this large number of birthdays the forum view needlessly stretches :P

It happens on a daily basis. Appearently this is popular forum software.

Most of these accounts are never validated due to anti-spam measures, and are deleted after 7 days of inactivity.

We'll see if we can apply some sort of filter on it...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

It happens on a daily basis.

I guess so...
but now it's a little bit more annoying because of these birthdays

No, they create a new account, use today's date as birthday, and are then stuck, because either they never get the password validation email because of a fake email address, or they are filtered by our auti-spam measures.

So the accounts remain in a validating state, and the board software removes these 7 days after sending the validation email.

I've hacked the forum code so that accounts in validating state are no longer shown in the birthday panel. This should make the list a bit shorter...

there is some users with last activity in 2008 with 0 post. I think, it could be removed too...

Q: how works personal manager on this new forum ?
Eg: I sent message and then I remove it or modify (attachement, text ), before reading by user. What will get user ?

You did see I'd sent you a message, or did you see the message itself?

I'm also seeing several spam messages, from members which (according to their profile) have been members since 2009, or even 2007...
(never made any posts before though, so the 'join' date could be fake?)

Let me know if you see that again. Afaik the join date is generated and can not be faked.

If I have such an example I can get that users IP, and check in the logs what that IP has done. Perhaps someone found a way to hack IPB?
