do you have a sample which doesn't play?

try to play any file, size of wich is more than 35-40Gb

well, if you are convinced it's the new kernel, fine by me, because that means we don'thave to do anything, just wait for vu+ to fix their drivers.

But it's (the file downloaded) also not running with the movieplayer on a dm8000 and it plays well with dreamexplorer on the same box ,so there must be something wrong with something



ps movieplayer under de pvr button,i don't use anything else than that

i tested this file on vu+duo and it doesnt work.
I also tested on ET-5000 where this file works just fine.

Interesting is that you guys reported that this file works with BlackHole image (same kernel). Anyone tested with VIX image which has same base as PLi but has different kernel implementation?

Tested the file above on Ultimo, UNO, DUO and ET9200: results are exactly as reported in the thread (via the PLi movieplayer there's no playback; via DreamExplorer it plays fine).

On a VU+ Duo there's no playback, just one moment a black screen (1 or 2 seconds) and then returns to the file list without returning to the normal TV picture.

On a back-up from 31-12-2011 it plays fine. (My last "old" kernel backup)
With the "new" kernel 3.1.1 back-up from 02-01-2012 (image 01-01-2012) it also plays fine.
I will restore some back-ups to see where it went wrong

I've pinpointed the date. With the image of the 13th of January the movie plays OK, with the image of the 14th it is broken so changes dated the 13th are most likely the culprits

actually, the sample does not contain PAT (and I believe it also does not contain PMT).
So servicem2ts doesn't find the video/audio streams.

We have to either make a workaround (find streams directly), or make a choice allowing m2ts to be played with either servicem2ts or servicemp3.
BTW, m2ts usually does contain PAT and PMT. Most likely, the sample just doesn't contain it, because PSI might be just in the beginning of the (original) file.

Another option is to construct a .meta file btw, which lists the correct video/audio pids.

I noticed when it plays it plays different audio streams mixed together I don't know if it is supposed to be this way in the original file or that there is a choice in audiostreams.

dreamexplorer probably hardcodes servicemp3 to do the playback

now is a little bit better,my box can play m2ts via playlist,but like slideshow,picture is freezing and no sound (or for a second)...this hapened only with bigger files
